    • PURPOSE:To prevent generation of an air bubble in a valve chamber, by setting tension of a spring, pressing the valve body of a feed for a distributor type fuel injection pump to the valve seat, lower than minimum internal pressure of the injection pump under a normal operational condition. CONSTITUTION:Pressing tension of a spring 6, pressig a valve body 5 to a valve seat body 4, is set lower than minimum internal pressure of a pump undr a normal operational condition. In this way, after a seating of the valve body 5 to the valve seat body 4, the valve body 5 is lifted to communicate a feed valve chamber 7a to a distribution passage chamber 2 and balance pressures in the both chambers because pressure in the distribution passage chamber 2, that is, pressure internally of the pump is higher than a preset load of the spring 6. At unloading of the valve body 5 by an unloading piston 5e, an air bubble generated in the feed valve chamber 7a is immediately removed by this internal pressure of the pump simultaneously pressure in the feed valve chamber 7a is always balanced to pressure in the distribution passage chamber 2, then unevenness of a fuel injection quanity and injection timing can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a wall of a communicating path affording communication between a fuel injection nozzle and a sub-combustion chamber from deposition and accumulation of fuel spray for reducing the production of HC and smoke by forming the path to diverge toward the sub-combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:A portion of a sub-combustion chamber 1 provided in a cylinder heat 7 communicates to a main combustion chamber 6 through a communicating hole 5. In this case, a path 3 affording communication between a fuel injection nozzle 2 and the sub-combustion chamber 1 is shaped conically to diverge toward the sub-combustion chamber 1. The vertical angle of this cone coincides with the spray angle of a nozzle 2. Also, the diameter of the cone is the minimum diameter in which the spray does not contact the wall of the cone. Thus, fuel spray injected from the nozzle 2 is prevented from depositing and accumulating on the wall of the communicating path 3 to reduce the generation of both HC and smoke.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce the cost of components in a vacuum control valve and as well to make it possible to fabricate the control valve in a technically simple way, by providing a first partitioning valve for communicating between a vacuum source and a control vacumm chamber and as well a second partitioning valve for communicating between the control vacuum chamber and an atmospheric pressure chamber.
      CONSTITUTION: A vacuum pump 20 is used as a vacuum source. A control vacuum port 102 communicates between a control vacuum chamber 400 and an EGR valve body 60. A first partitioning valve 203 is disposed in a second partitioning valve 201. This first partitioning valve 203 communicates with the vacuum source and the control vacuum pressure chamber 400, and the second partitioning valve 201 communicates the control vacuum pressure chamber 400 and an atmospheric pressure chamber 500. A signal vacuum chamber 600 serves as an acutuator for opening and closing the first and second partitioning valves 203, 201. With this arrangement, the cost of components in the atmospheric pressure compensated vacuum control valve may be reduced, and as well, the control valve may be fabricated in a technically simple way.

When the current inputted to a coil 43 of a control valve 4 is increased, the negative pressure is reduced.
