      CONSTITUTION: When a sensor of sensor group 1 detects a specific condition, an encoder 2 generates the position and interrupt signals. An arithmetic processing circuit 5 begins interrupt process according to this interrupt signal to compare the interrupt signal with coded rank data and determine the number of time of generating voice warnings according to the rank data value. The rank data is selected by a level switch 3 to open a power switch 7 when a slide terminal 3a is turned OFF and at the same time prohibit the voice warnings corresponding to the ranks 1W4. Subjet items are ranked and when the item in 2 position is selected for example; the voice warning of items corresponding to 3, 4 positions are prohibited.

    • PURPOSE:To secure high reading accuracy over a wide range of exposure intensity by providing an initializing part to erase the signal charge produced by the photodetecting part of a reading sensor by an optional timing. CONSTITUTION:The optical information is supplied to a photodetecting part M2 containing plural photosensors via an optical system M1. The signal charge produced at the part M2 is supplied to a signal processing part M4 from an output part M3 based on a reading start signal. Here an initializing part M5 is added to erase the signal charge in response to a prescribed initializing signal. An exposure control means M6 controls the light quantity of exposure according to the time needed for the initializing signal produced at the part M5 through the reading start signal. Thus it is possible to control properly the light quality of exposure of a reading sensor even in a state where the exposure intensity is extremely high. As a result, the high reading accuracy is secured over a wide range of exposure intensity.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure accurate reading through a simple device even with the printing of a heat-sensitive printer, by using a light source of a diode which emits high-luminance red light having a wavelength within a range of 660+ or -60nm to read information recorded optically. CONSTITUTION:Plural diodes which emit the high-luminance red light having a wavelength within a range of 660+ or -60nm are arranged in a row. Then the information to be read is irradiated, and this reflected light is detected by a reading sensor diode. The light emitting diode has a spectrum distribution as shown by B in the figure, and a sensor diode has the sensitivity characteristics as shown by A in the figure. The reflection factor of black color has the characteristics as shown by C for a bar code printed by a heat-sensitive printer. Only the reflection factor approximate to 40% is detected for the black color printed by said heat-sensitive printer. This avoids incapability of reading, and furthermore an ordinary print can also be read with no problem as long as a contrast is higher than a normal level. As a result, an infrared filter can be excluded to miniaturize an optical information reader.
