CONSTITUTION: An air cleaner cap 21 is installed in such a manner as to be slightly slid from the head cover side, a click part of an air cleaner cap 21 is inserted in a fitting hole of a dusty side case 11, and the air cleaner cap 21 is removably installed on the dusty side case 11. At this time, a cylindrical part 20b of the air cleaner cap 21 is opened along the direction of installing the air cleaner cap 21 on the dusty side case 11, and a throttle bore 51 is also similarly opened in the installation direction, so that the throttle side end part of the cylindrical part 20b is simultaneously connected to the air cleaner side end part 51a of the throttle bore 51 through a seal gasket 63. Thus, the head cover, the air cleaner 10, the throttle 50 and a surge tank 80 are formed into a unit.

摘要： PURPOSE:To form a noise prevention device with a simple structure, and small energy consumption, also capable of reducing intake noise in a wide frequency range. CONSTITUTION:A enclosed chamber 22 is connected to the side wall of an engine intake pipe 1 through a small diameter part 21 so as to form a resonator 2, and a piezoelectric bimorph type vibratory plate 3 is provided on the opening port of a bulkhead 23 in the enclosed chamber 22 of the resonator 2. The vibratory plate 3 is vibrated by a driving signal outputted from a driving control circuit 4. In the driving control circuit 4, original intake pulsation is predicted by an engine rotational speed, a load, and the like, and the driving signal is transmitted to the vibratory plate 3 so as to output control noise. The control noise is synthesized with resonance noise generated in the enclosed chamber 22, and sound pressure of the synthesized noise is in antiphase condition with nearly the same amplitude as that of intake pulsation pressure so as to offset the pulsation pressure effectively, and reduce intake noise.

摘要： PURPOSE:To facilitate formation of a variable intake flow path by arranging a variable member formed with a spiral groove in the outer circumferential face thereof in an air cleaner casing, then translating the movable member corresponding to the operating condition of an internal combustion engine. CONSTITUTION:A filter element 20 is arranged in the casing 10 of an air cleaner 1, while an outer air lead-in port 14 and a clean air lead-out port 16 are made respectively at upper and lower portions thereof. Here, a tubular member 30 having a series of spiral grooves 31 in the outer circumferential face thereof is fitted slidably over the outer circumference of a guide tube 15 arranged at the lower section of the casing 10, so as to form a spiral flow path 40. A stem 51 associated with a rack 51R is provided at the end section of the tubular member 30, and a stepping motor 52 associated with a pinion 53 engageable with the rack 51R is provided on the casing 10. A drive unit 50 constructed in such a manner is controlled by a controller 60 corresponding to the operating condition of an internal combustion engine so as to vary the length of the spiral flow path 40.

摘要： PURPOSE:To improve volume efficiency during high rotation, by a method wherein two inlet ducts for introducing air containing an element, and a valve opened when the oil pressure of engine oil exceeds a given value is mounted to the other duct. CONSTITUTION:In an air purifying device 1 containing a casing 3 incorporating an element 2, two inlet ducts 3a and 3b are mounted to the peripheral wall of the casing 3. A valve 4 is mounted to the one duct 3b, and is opened through a diaphragm 6 by means of a negative pressure introduced in a vacuum chamber 5a of a drive device 5 through a passage 9. Introduction a negative pressure to passage 9 is controlled by means of a control device 10, and the control device 10 moves upward a valve device 19 against a spring 16 when the oil pressure of engine oil is increased along with an increase in the number of revolutions of the engine. The upward movement of the valve device closes on opening 18a of a vacuum passage 18, meanwhile, with an open air opening 14a opened, an atmospheric pressure is introduced in a vacuum chamber 5a to open the valve 4.

While the air cleaner 4 is provided at its casing 41 with two inlets 42 and 43 to oppose each other and air flows through an air cleaner element 44 to flow out of an outlet 45, since the flows of air sucked interferes with each other in the casing 41, effects of lengths of air suction paths can be eliminated. Also, since air from the two inlets mixes well, variance in the air-fuel ratio becomes smaller.

摘要： PURPOSE:To enable reduction of the generation of intake noise without causing any drop in engine output, by a method wherein an amount of intake air throttled by a valve body situated in the middle of in intake passage is controlled so that intake pressure on the low load side of an engine is regulated to a constant pressure value lower than that on the high load side. CONSTITUTION:With an engine 1 started, a negative pressure is stored in a vacuum tank 80 with the aid of a vacuum pump, and introduction of the negative pressure to the negative pressure chamber 4 of a vacuum motor 44 causes gradual closing of a valve body 3 in an intake passage 2. Then, a negative pressure downstream from the valve body 3 is increased, and introduction of the negative pressure to the negative pressure chamber 73 of a pressure control valve 70 through a communicating pipe 90 causes down movement of a valve body 76 and forces the opening end 62 of a passage 60 to be opened to an atmospheric pressure chamber 74. This causes dilution of a negative pressure in the negative pressure chamber 44 by means of the open air, and forces the valve body 3 to act in the opening direction. In this case, since a switching valve 100 is opened during low load running of an engine, a negative pressure introduced in the negative pressure chamber 73 is diluted by means of the open air, and the opening of the valve body 3 is decreased.
