    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the manner in which the mat for surface combustion of a burner device for surface combustion is attached to the casing and also improve the seed condition. SOLUTION: On the base end side opposed to the combustion side of a mat 1 consisting of a multiplicity of fibers matted together a support plate 2 having an air hole 2a which secures passage of air between the reverse side and the front and being wider in a spread state than the mat 1 is provided. This support plate 2 is attached to a casing 3 either by means of an attaching part provided to the part of the support plate 2 where the mat 1 is not present or by making the support plate 2 an integral part of the casing 3. Since the heat of the mat 1 is hardly transmitted to the support plate 2 in this constitution, it is less restricted to decide the quality of the material forming the support plate 2, its shape, and the manner of being attached and enhancement can be achieved in durability and sealed condition, hence an improvement in ease with which the mat 1 for surface combustion is attached to the casing 3 and in the sealed condition between the two.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow stabilizer in which a stress peak value of a bend part can be decreased.SOLUTION: A hollow stabilizer 10 comprised of a steel pipe includes a torsion part 20 extending in a vehicle width direction, a pair of bend parts 21 and a pair of arm parts 22. On a cross section of the bend part 21 in a radial direction, when the center of the inside of a bend is 0° and the center of the outside of the bend is 180°, a range from 0° to 90° has a thickness distribution where a first thin part 41, a first thick part 51 and a second thin part 42 are continued in a circumferential direction. A range from 90° to 180° has a thickness distribution where a second thick part 52 and a third thin part 43 are continued in the circumferential direction. A thickness distribution from 180° to 360° is symmetrical with the thickness distribution from 0° to 180° with a reference line X1 connecting 0° and 180° as a symmetry axis. Furthermore, with a perpendicular Y1 making a right angle with the reference line X1 and connecting 90° and 270° as a border, the thickness distribution inside of the bend around 0° and the thickness distribution outside of the bend around 180° are asymmetrical with each other.

    • PURPOSE:To increase the surface area and to improve the efficiency by forming a groove along an axial direction on the surface of metallic fiber used for a heat exchanger, a catalyst, etc., by entangling it stereoscopically at random or weaving in a network state. CONSTITUTION:A Starling engine 1 has a high-temperature cylinder 3 for forming a high-temperature space by high temperature heated by a heater 2, a displacer piston 4 reciprocatingly moving in the cylinder 3, a low-temperature cylinder 6 for forming a low-temperature space by low temperature cooled by a cooler 5, a power piston 7 reciprocatingly moving in the cylinder 6, and a regenerator 8 for heat exchanging with transfer gas. A regenerator 8 is composed by entangling metallic fiber stereoscopically at random or weaving it in a network state, and laminating its mesh. In this case, grooves 11 of a V-shaped section are recessed from the outer surface toward a center of the strand 10 of the fiber. Thus, the surface area of the fiber is increased to improve its efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a stabilizer for car of a simple structure, which is equipped with centering function and which can be switched on and off. CONSTITUTION:An on/off switching mechanism 3 is equipped with a housing 11 having cylinder part 13 and a rod 40 to be coupled with the body 2 of stabilizer. The rod 40 is inserted into the cylinder part 13. A recess 55 and an inclining guide surface 60 continuing to the recess 55 are furnished in the axial direction middle part of the rod 40. In a position capable of pinching the rod 40, a lock member 70 provided with a mating wall 77 is installed in such a way as capable of advancing and retreating in the direction perpendicular to the rod 40. When the rod 40 is situated in the neutral position, the mating wall 77 of the lock member 70 will be fitted in the recess 55. A lock member driving means 80 is installed for operating the lock member 70.

    • PURPOSE:To stabilize a drive during cornering by constituting a mechanism for intercoupling a stabilizer and a car body by using a base member and a movement member relatively movably held in a neutral position from above and below by means of a spring means and a cylinder type damping force means. CONSTITUTION:A coupling mechanism 3 comprises a base member 11 having a lower end coupled to a mounting part 13 of a lower arm, a movement member 20 attached to a stabilizer body alarm part 27, damping force generating members 29 and 46 composed by cylinder units 25 and 42, and compression coil springs 40 and 60. The movement member 20 comprises the coil springs 40 and 60 and the cylinder units 25 and 42 such that it is relatively movable based on the base member 11 with a neutral position forming a boundary therebetween. In this constitution, the coil springs 40 and 60 cope with low displacement during straight running and during high displacement, such as cornering, the cylinder units 25 and 42 generate a damping force to cope with the situation.

    • PURPOSE:To improve driving stability during cornering by constituting a mechanism for intercoupling a stabilizer and a car body by using a cylinder and a rod relatively moved through a damping force generating means and an auxiliary spring, coupling the one to a stabilizer body, and coupling the other to the car body. CONSTITUTION:A coupling mechanism 3 comprises a rod 11 having a lower end coupled to a mounting part 13 of the lower arm of a suspension device and a cylinder 25 relatively movably held in a neutral position to the rod 11 through spring seats 15 and 20, bump rubbers 16 and 22, and auxiliary springs 51 and 53. A liquid chamber 35 is formed in the cylinder 25 and a damping force generating means 39 wherein a flangeform part 37 is arranged to the rod 11 and a throttle part 38 is arranged between the damping force generating means and a cylinder wall is formed. This constitution copes with low displacement during straight running through bending of the auxiliary springs 51 and 53 and also copes with the situation through operation of the damping force generating means 39 when displacement is high during cornering.
