    • An electric shaver in which an arch-shaped blade between adjacent slit grooves formed side by side in an inner cutting blade is prolonged to make it possible to turn up the beard cutting sound. In an electric shaver, an inner cutting blade (1) in arch form having slit grooves (12) is reciprocated with its outer surface making slide contact with the inner surface of an outer cutting blade (20) to cut beard. The lower ends at opposite ends as seen in the direction of reciprocation of the inner cutting blade (1) are respectively provided with attaching sections (16) to the coupling (3). The lower ends (15a) of the blades (14a) formed in the middle as seen in the direction of reciprocation of the inner cutting blade (1) are disposed below the level of the lower ends (15b) of blades (14b) formed on the upper side of the attaching sections (16) of the inner cutting blade (1).
