    • A discharge pulsation reducing cooler B is provided to cover the circumferential periphery of a compressor A. The discharge pulsation reducing cooler B has a delivery passage 41 and a jacket 43 covering that, and cooling water is circulated through a passage formed between the delivery passage 41 and the jacket 43. Delivered air flowing through the delivery passage 41 is cooled by the cooling water. In particular, because heat exchange efficiency is promoted by turbulence caused by the pulsation in the delivery passage 41, the delivered air is cooled efficiently. Also, pulsation is reduced in first and second expansion chambers 44, 45 in the delivery passage 41, and pulsation noise in the delivery passage 41 is reduced by the cooling water passage 42 and the jacket 43.

    • Rearing simulation game apparatus for a virtual living thing (VLT), as an interactive electronic game with categories of a VLT at every rearing stage increased to variegate game development. A state parameter processor A increases and decreases a “care” parameter representative of a degree of “care” in response to completeness of an operation responsive to a player request, and calculates a “metamorphosis” parameter based on the “care” parameter. Rearing stage processor D selects one category out of a plurality of categories of the VLT lodged in the succeeding rearing stage in accordance with the metamorphosis requirements depending on the “metamorphosis” parameter calculated and the metamorphosis reference value set peculiarly to the “category” of the VLT in the present rearing stage. Rearing state display is provided in terms of a numerical value or figure based on a parameter or a category of the VLT designated by the request operation for the display.

    • A vehicle sunshade device has guide rails disposed on both sides of an opening formed in a roof of a vehicle. The guide rails each has a guide groove having in turn a straight portion oriented longitudinally and extending substantially horizontally and an inclined portion continuous with the straight portion. Sliding members are slidably fitted in the groove, the sliding members being provided on sides of a sunshade for opening and closing the opening, being made larger in longitudinal length than in thickness and being elastically deformable in vertical directions. A vertical gap in the inclined portion at least at an intermediate portion thereof is made larger than a vertical gap in the straight portion of the guide groove. In the case of the vehicle sunshade device having front and rear sunshades, sliding members each having a portion for abutment at a front upper portion are provided on both sides of a rear sunshade at a front portion thereof. And side plates are provided on both sides of a front sunshade which each have at a rear end thereof an abutment portion adapted to be brought into abutment with the portion for abutment of the sliding member so as to push the rear shade rearward. An inclined portion is provided below the abutment portion in such a manner as to incline forwardly downwardly so as to push the portion for abutment of the sliding member downwardly toward the rear when the sunshade approaches the fully opened position, and a lower edge extending continuously from a front end thereof toward the front so as to prevent the upward movement of the sliding member.

    • The specification describes a method for producing high density sintered silicon nitride(Si.sub.3 N.sub.4) having a relative density of at least 98%. In a first step, silicon nitride powder is compacted into a desired shape. It is then presintered in a second step, generally, under normal pressure to obtain a presintered body having a relative density of at least 92%. In a third step, the presintered body is subjected to a hot isostatic pressing(HIP) in an inert gas atmosphere of 1500-2100.degree. C. and of nitrogen gas partial pressure of at least 500 atm. Since the presintering does not require any capsule, it is possible to produce high density sintered Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 of complex configurations. As a sintering aid, Y.sub.2 O.sub.3 --Al.sub.2 O.sub.3 --MgO system sintering aid is particularly effective. To improve the strength of sintered Si.sub.3 N.sub.4, it is effective to add a heat treatment step after the HIP and maintain the temperature of the sintered Si.sub.3 N.sub.4, above 500.degree. C. for a while. Between the second and third steps, the temperature of the presintered body is preferably maintained above 500.degree. C. These temperature controls are effective not only to improve the strength of sintered Si.sub.3 N.sub.4 but also to save the thermal energy and to shorten the production cycle.
