摘要： Mutually spaced apart TCO film portions are formed on a glass substrate. An amorphous silicon film of PIN junction type is formed to cover these TCO film portions, and an aluminum film is formed thereon. The aluminum film in the vicinity of the gap between adjacent TCO film portions is removed by means of a laser beam, and the amorphous silicon film is removed by reactive plasma etching using the aluminum film as a mask to thereby expose portions of the TCO film. An aluminum-titanium film is formed over the aluminum film and the exposed portions of the TCO film. The aluminum-titanium film is separated by means of a laser beam to form a plurality of photoelectric converting regions. The photoelectric converting regions thus formed on the glass substrate are connected in series.

摘要： A focus adjusting apparatus comprises a focus lens device provided in an optical system. The focus lens device comprises a transparent container of a rectangular prism form, a lens member supported in the container and formed of poly(acrylic amide) gel as a polymer gel substance having electro-reactive deformability, and a pair of transparent electrodes, the container being filled with water-aceton mixture solution. The lens member is formed by two lens materials having different proportions of acrylic acid group. A voltage is applied to the transparent electrodes under control of an automatic focusing circuit to cause electric field in the container, whereby the lens member is deformed in a concentric spherical form to form a lens. When the application of the voltage is stopped, the lens member returns to the initial form. A focal distance of the lens member is changed according to degrees of such deformation of the lens member.

摘要： A photovoltaic device comprises a light transmissive insulating substrate, on which a plurality of isolated transparent electrodes are formed. An amorphous silicon layer of a PIN structure, for example, is formed on the substrate continuously and in common to the respective transparent electrodes. Aluminum electrodes are formed on the surface of the amorphous silicon layer so as to correspond to the respective transparent electrodes. The transparent electrodes and the aluminum electrodes are electrically connected to the adjacent opponent electrodes to withdraw in a series fashion photovoltaic power generated at the respective photoelectric conversion regions.

摘要： The present application discloses a sunlight-into-energy conversion apparatus in which at least one amorphous silicon solar cell having a thickness thin enough to permit the sunlight to pass therethrough is formed on the surface of a heat collecting plate attached to a heating medium tube in a thermal conductive manner, thereby permitting the sunlight to be effectively converted into thermal energy and electrical energy.When a plurality of such amorphous silicon solar cells are formed on the surface of the heat collecting plate through insulating films, respectively and connected in series to each other, high electromotive force may be obtained.
