    • Certain embodiments for antenna geometry for multiple antenna handsets may include receiving RF signals via a patch antenna coupled to a signal processing circuitry within a mobile terminal. The signal processing circuitry may process the RF signals, comprising at least one of a plurality of polarizations that are received by the patch antenna. The patch antenna may be a dual-polarized antenna, and may comprise a plurality of ports. RF signals at a first of the plurality of ports may be orthogonally polarized with respect to RF signals at a second of the plurality of ports. The patch antenna may be optimized to receive multiple RF bands. Each of the multiple RF bands may be communicated via different ports to be processed.

    • Methods and systems for communicating information via a plurality of different networks are disclosed herein. Aspects of the method may comprise receiving broadcast information in a mobile terminal via a VHF/UHF broadcast communication path. Cellular information in the mobile terminal comprising voice and data may be received via at least one cellular communication path. Reception in the mobile terminal may be switched between reception of the broadcast information via the VHF/UHF broadcast communication path and the cellular information via the at least one cellular communication path based on a preference indicated via the mobile terminal. The preference may be indicated via a software-controlled interface and/or a user-controlled interface. Reception in the mobile terminal may be switched between reception of the broadcast information via the VHF/UHF broadcast communication path and the cellular information via the at least one cellular communication path based on user input.

    • Aspects of the present invention may be found in a method and system for cellular network services and an integrated broadcast television (TV) downlink having intelligent service control with feedback information. The system may comprise cellular processing circuitry in a mobile terminal that processes a plurality of cellular frequency band communications services which comprise at least one voice service and at least one data service, in a single cellular processor integrated circuit in a mobile terminal. In addition, the system may comprise broadcast processing circuitry in the mobile terminal that processes VHF/UHF band broadcast services in a single broadcast processor integrated circuit in the mobile terminal. The cellular processing circuitry may communicate with, and share at least a single memory with, the broadcast processing circuitry. The cellular processing circuitry may utilize at least the single memory to request at least a portion of information deliverable via the cellular frequency band communications services for delivery via VHF/UHF band broadcast services.

    • Systems and methods for receiving content in a mobile handheld terminal are disclosed and may include receiving multimedia content via one of a VHF/UHF broadcast communication path and a packet-switched data path. Voice content may be received via a voice communication path. A multimedia signal associated with the multimedia content and/or a voice signal associated with the voice content may be selectively output based on an input to the mobile handheld terminal. The multimedia content may be received via both of the VHF/UHF broadcast communication path and the packet-switched data path. The packet-switched data path may include an EVDO data path and/or an HSDPA data path. The voice communication path may include a WCDMA communication path and/or an UMTS communication path. The input may be indicated via a software-controlled interface and/or a user-controlled interface.
