    • Embodiments of the present invention include circuits and methods for calibrating position displacement in a voltage controlled actuator. In one embodiment, a calibration circuit comprises an actuator having a control terminal for receiving a programmable control voltage to set a displacement, a switch that selectively decouples said programmable voltage from said control terminal and couples a reference current to said control terminal when the control terminal is decoupled from said control voltage, a comparator that senses a voltage difference between said control voltage and said control terminal, and a timer coupled to an output of the comparator. The timer measures a time period required to increase the control terminal voltage. The capacitance of the actuator may be determined and used to calibrate the position of the actuator.

    • A method, an apparatus, and computer instructions are provided for inserting code fixes into applications at runtime. One aspect of the present invention leverages capability of a just-in-time-instrumentation monitoring component to receive a code fix during execution of applications and insert code fixes into applications. Another aspect of the present invention allows users to create a custom class loader that loads a custom class at runtime. The custom class loader then inserts the custom class in the applications. With the aspects of the present invention, code fixes and patches may be applied to applications without taking the applications down.

    • A safety barrier system for blocking access to an aisle defined by first and second opposing structures. The system includes at least two barriers, and each barrier includes a flexible, resilient frame defining a span. A flexible sheet is secured to the frame and extending across the span. The frame is movable between an unfolded condition and a folded condition for storage. At least one strap is connected to the sheet and has a free end. A fastener is attached to the free end of the at least one strap for connecting the barrier to one of the first and second structures when the frame is in the unfolded condition to block access to the store aisle. The system also includes a holder for the at least two barriers.

    • A roofing material includes a sheet of flexible material having two parallel long sides and two short end edges joining the long sides. The material has pre-printed thereon a plurality of longitudinal guide lines extending parallel to the long sides of the material. The guide lines are equally spaced and arranged in a repeating sequence across the width of the material to form identical groups of a plurality of guide lines. Each guide line of a group is visually distinct from the others in the group. The material further includes a plurality of different indicator markings, one indictor marking corresponding to each group of guide lines to enable each group of guide lines to be distinguished from the other groups.
