    • An inspection method is conducted after the assembly of an industrial engine is complete. An identification code assigned to an industrial engine is read. Basic engine specification data and device-specific engine specification data that correspond to the read identification code are extracted from a database to a completion inspection unit. Various inspections are conducted on the individual engine by the completion inspection unit on the basis of the extracted basic engine specification data. The device-specific engine specification data of the engine that has passed the inspection is written into memory. A confirmation inspection is then conducted by a device-specific inspection machine to determine whether the engine has the output characteristics required by the mounting device.

    • The invention makes an output sharing of an engine and an electric motor proper so as to suitably drive a load. When a throttle opening degree variation amount ΔV is within a ΔV1, an engine E can drive a power generator G at a rated revolution speed. A switching circuit 28 is switched in such a manner as to charge a battery 27 by a generated power. When the opening degree variation amount ΔV becomes larger than the ΔV1, a power assist of operating the power generator G as the electric motor is set to be standby. When the opening degree variation amount ΔV is more than ΔV2 (>ΔV1), the power assist is started. In the power assist, an angle advance amount is increased. When acceleration is insufficient, it is possible to further increase a conduction angle in stages.

    • In a general-purpose internal combustion engine connectable to operating machines such as a snowplow, a washing machine and a wood chipper having an electronic control unit that controls operation of the operating machine when connected, there are provided a signal output terminal that is installed in the electronic control unit and outputs a signal generated by the electronic control unit to the operating machine and a signal selector constituted by a personal computer that selects a signal to be outputted by the signal output terminal from among signals in response to manipulation by an operator. The engine can be easily connected with any operating machine without a complicated electronic control unit, thereby improving versatility and convenience.

A spatial structure in which the delivery robot is movable is described from a delivery start position to a delivery destination position according to a quadtree method, and stored as a map in a memory. A safety connection weight calculator calculates the weight of a connection relative to the safety of a direction of delivery, by referring to the stored map, and an objective direction connection weight calculator calculates the weight of an objective direction connection taking into account a shortest distance in the direction of delivery, by referring to the stored map. A preceding direction of delivery is considered from an output of a neutral network processor, and established in the neutral network processor via a feedback connection weight setting unit. The neutral network processor autonomously generates optimum delivery route data according to the error backpropagation learning algorithm.
