    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quicken temperature rise of hot water at the time of redelivery by regulating the opening of a water volume control means at the time of stopping operation of a hot water supply apparatus to suppress the flow rate of hot water at the time of redelivery and sustaining that opening for a while. SOLUTION: At the time of hot water supply operation, water from a water supply circuit 1 passes through a water volume detecting section 2 and absorbs heat at a heat exchanger 3 to produce hot water which is passed from a hot water delivery path 4 through a hot water delivery temperature detecting section 5 and a water volume control means 6 before being discharged. When a water volume signal is received at the section 2, a heater 7 is actuated and the capacity thereof is regulated according to a temperature being set by a hot water delivery temperature setting means 11. When the water volume signal at the section 2 disappears, the heater 7 is stopped and the means 6 closes the opening by a specified amount previously in order to suppress delivery of hot water at the time of redelivery. When a water volume signal is received again at the section 2, opening of the means 6 is kept as it is for a specified time and then released by a releasing means 21.

    • PURPOSE:To make it easier to recognize the ignition sequence in progression and the completion of the ignition by lighting or turning on and off an ignition indicator lamp provided on the control section of the main body of a heater during the process of electrically igniting a ceramic heater and by turning off the lamp when the combustion at the burner has been detected. CONSTITUTION:When an operation switch 21 is turned on, a first solenoid valve SV1 25 and a second solenoid valve SV2 26 are opened simultaneously with application of current to a ceramic heater 14 by an ignition control circuit 27 in the wiring so that fuel supplied through a nozzle 28 is ignited and burned at a burner 13. During the progression of the ignition sequence, an indicator control circuit 33 in a microcomputer 29 works, turning on and off an ignition indicator lamp 22. When a combustion sensor 15 detects combustion at the burner 13, a signal is transmitted from a combustion control circuit 30 to the indicator control circuit 33, both in the microcomputer 29, causing the on-and-off lighting of the ignition indicator lamp 22 to be stopped and simultaneously a combustion lamp 23 to be lighted. After the combustion has been started, signals representing the room temperature, which is detected by a heat- sensitive device 24 in a room thermometer, are processed by the indicator control circuit 33 so that the room temperature is shown by a room temperature indicator 35 provided on a control panel 20.

As a result, hot air spreads all over a room along a floor surface. The temperature of the floor surface is low at the initial stage and a material is prevented from discoloring and deformation. This quick heating function is programmed so that a room temperature is increased to a set value or after elapse of a specified time, the increase of a room temperature to a set value is completed and the heater is returned to ordinary operation.

    • PURPOSE:To quickly heat the room space when the room temperature is low by increasing the coil current to the gas pressure proportioning valve greater than the normal rated level when the room temperature is lower than a certain set temperature so that the burning rate can be increased. CONSTITUTION:The magnetized fixed iron core 31 functions as a regulator spring of an ordinary gas pressure regulator, and, by modulating the current value, it can function as if the regulator spring were working as being compressed, etc., to regulate the gas pressure. Under normal conditions, the rated coil current Ia is supplied to set the ejection pressure from the nozzle 18 at the rated gas pressure P3, and, when the burner 19 is operated for a low intensity burning to match a higher room temperature, the gas pressure is reduced to Pc so as to decrease the gas flow rate.
