摘要： Methods, systems, and computer readable media for providing local application routing at a Diameter node are disclosed. One method includes receiving, at an ingress Diameter message processor associated with a Diameter signaling router (DSR), a Diameter message from a peer Diameter element. At the ingress Diameter message processor, application routing data is accessed to determine whether processing of the Diameter message by a Diameter application is required. In response to determining that Diameter application processing is required, the Diameter message is forwarded to a Diameter message processor hosting a Diameter application identified by the application routing data for processing. In response to determining that Diameter application processing is not required, the Diameter message is forwarded to an egress Diameter message processor associated with the DSR.

摘要： A filtering and application triggering platform may be implemented on a signaling message routing node to decode signaling messages and increase efficiency in subsequent processing of the signaling message. A communications link module on a signaling message routing node receives a signaling message. A first filtering and application triggering module associated with the communication link module extracts predetermined parameters from the signaling message and generates a decode key based on the parameters. The first filtering and application triggering module applies a first triggering rule to the decode key and determines whether to forward or drop the message. If the first filtering and application triggering module determines that the message should be forwarded, the first filtering and application triggering module forwards the message to another processing module within the signaling message routing node. The decode key is forwarded along with the message. The next processing module may extract additional parameters from the message, add the parameters to the decode key, and apply a triggering rule to the modified decode key.

According to one aspect, the subject matter described herein includes a method that includes intercepting, at a signaling message routing node, a prepaid status query associated with a call originated by a calling subscriber and directed to a called subscriber. The signaling node then determines whether the calling subscriber is associated with an unlimited calling plan, unlimited text messaging plan, unlimited multimedia messaging plan, or a combination of plans based on the intercepted prepaid status query. In response to determining that the call is an in-network call associated with a calling party associated with an unlimited calling, text messaging, or multimedia messaging plan, the signaling node generates a prepaid status response instructing the query originator to connect the call.
