    • A wheel support bearing assembly with a load sensor, in which the load sensor for detecting a load on a vehicle wheel can be compactly disposed, includes an outer member (1) having plural raceways (4) in an inner peripheral surface thereof, an inner member (2) made up of a hub axle (2A) and an inner race (2B) on an inboard end of the hub axle (2A). The inner member (2) has raceways (5) in the hub axle (2A) and the inner race (2B) confronting the raceways (4). Rows of rolling elements are interposed between the raceways (4) and (5) for supporting the vehicle wheel rotatably. A to-be-detected member (2b) as a magnetostrictive element is formed between an inboard end of the hub axle (2A) and the raceway (5).     • A combined sensor and bearing assembly (1) is of a type having a capability of detecting a point of origin and includes a rolling bearing unit (6) and a rotation sensor unit (31). The rolling bearing unit (6) is made up of a rotatable raceway member (4), a stationary raceway member (5) and at least one row of rolling elements (3). The rotation sensor unit (31) includes a to-be-detected member (8) having a magnet and fitted to one of the raceway members (4, 5), and a magnetic detecting member (9) fitted to the other raceway member (4, 5) at a location confronting the to-be-detected member (8). This combined sensor and bearing assembly (1) is used at a location close to an electromagnetic coil (17) emanating a leakage magnetic field, in a condition in which a direction of flow of an electric current through the electromagnetic coil (17) is fixed in one direction so that a direction of a magnetic flux, with which the magnetic detecting member (9) is switched off, may coincide with a direction of the leakage magnetic flux.

    • A ribbon cassette for accommodating a length of inked ribbon for use with a thermal wax transfer printer. The cassette includes a generally cylindrical supply casing having a supply slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a first longitudinal of the supply casing and rotatably accommodating therein a supply spool, a generally cylindrical take-up casing having a take-up slot defined therein so as to extend parallel to a second longitudinal axis of the take-up casing and also to the supply slot and rotatably accommodating therein a take-up spool, a length of inked ribbon having opposite ends engaged with the supply and take-up spools within the supply and take-up casings, respectively. The supply and take-up casings are connected together so as to extend parallel to each other by means of an elongated front plate secured at its opposite end portions to respective front open ends of the supply and take-up casings, and a slender bridge having opposite ends secured to respective rear ends of the supply and take-up casings. The take-up slot is located at a level generally aligned with a plane, containing the first and second longitudinal axes, and opening laterally outwardly so as to confront the supply casing. The supply and take-up slots is so positioned relative to each other as to permit a portion of the length of inked ribbon extending between the supply and take-up slots to extend diagonally upwardly from the supply slot towards the take-up slot.

    • A fibrous sheet having a high strength and water resistance and having no resin specks on the surface can be produced by producing a sheet from a fiber slury by the known paper making process, to said fiber slurry being added a flocculate of chlorinated polymer latices which has a particle size of 100.mu.-500 .mu. and is prepared by heating said chlorinated polymer latices to a temperature of at least their minimum film-forming temperature and then adding a water soluble cationic polymer or a polyvalent metal salt with stirring. Examples of said chlorinated polymer latices are anionic polyvinyl chloride latex, polyvinylidene chloride latex or the combination thereof.
