    • Provided herein is a straightforward and efficient method for covalently attaching a polyethylene glycol polymer to docetaxel. The method involves, among other things, a step of reacting docetaxel with a polyethylene glycol polymer comprising a functional group reactive with a hydroxyl group within docetaxel in the presence of a coupling reagent and DPTS. The result of the reacting step is the formation of a polyethylene glycol-docetaxel conjugate having a single polyethylene glycol covalently attached, via an ester linkage, to the hydroxyl group within docetaxel.

    • A management system for re-displaying characters on the terminal and re-displaying method thereof are disclosed. The management system includes a buffer having first buffer and a second buffer, a first switch, a second switch, and a control unit. The first buffer stores a plurality of characters constituting an image shown on a display of the terminal if the terminal is switched from the first computing device to the second computing device or if the second switch selects one of a first buffer set and a second buffer set. The second buffer stores a plurality of attributes constituting the image shown on the display of the terminal if the terminal is switched from the first computing device to the second computing device, or if the second switch selects one of a first buffer set and a second buffer set. The first switch couples one of the first computing device and the second computing device to the first buffer and the second buffer. The control unit is capable of controlling the switching procedure between the first computing device and the second computing device.

    • A management system for converting commands in the terminal types and method thereof are disclosed. The management system couples a computing device, having a first terminal type, to a terminal. The management system includes a detecting unit, a conversion table, and a converting unit. The detecting unit of the management system detects whether the terminal has a second terminal type. The conversion table constitutes a conversion relationship between a first set of commands in the first terminal type and a second set of commands in the second terminal type correspondingly. The converting unit, in response to the detecting unit, converts the first set of commands in the first terminal type from the computing device into the second set of commands in the second terminal type according to the conversion table if the first set of commands in the first terminal type is unreadable for the terminal. Thus, the computing device controls the terminal to display correctly.

    • The invention is to provide a method for inputting different characters by multi-directionally pressing one single key of a portable electronic device more than one time, the key having a plurality of protuberances on an underside and a circuit board having a plurality of pads being equal in number to the protuberances and disposed correspondingly thereto, the method comprises determining the conduction periods of time by a control circuit, while one key being multi-directionally pressed a plurality of times to cause the protuberances to contact the corresponding pads at different conduction periods of time; reading a corresponding character sequentially from a built-in character database based on a longer one of the conduction periods of time; and displaying the read character. By utilizing this method, it is possible of effecting a fast input on the keypad.
