    • An inner plate (50) holding and positioning terminals (40) in a connector fitting direction (A) is received within a connector housing (31), and the inner plate (50) is supported for movement in a direction (B) perpendicular to the connector fitting direction.     • To manufacture a molded connector formed by a primary molding and a secondary molding, a primary molded piece having resin portion integrally formed with terminals and a projection formed on the resin portion is prepared first. The primary molded piece is disposed inside a mold used for the secondary molding such that a distal end of the projection abuts against a part of inner face of the mold. Then resin material is injected into the mold to conduct the secondary molding. The projection of the primary molded piece is deformable in accordance with inspecting pressure of the resin material. After the secondary molded piece is removed from the mold, a shape of the distal end of the projection to judge inferiority of the inspecting pressure of the resin material.

    • A shield connector has a double retainment mechanism used for electric wirings of automobiles, and the object thereof is to provide a shield connector that is highly reliable and excellent in operability. Retaining arms for a terminal are arranged on a terminal housing so as to be erectable; in the retaining arms, a retaining projection having a tapered portion is arranged; the terminal housing having the terminal received in a terminal receiving chamber primarily retained by a retaining strip arranged on the terminal receiving chamber is inserted into an inner sleeve of a housing cover; whereby the tapered portion comes in contact with a guide slope arranged in the inner sleeve of the housing cover and is urged to thereby cause the retaining arms to fall down. As a result, the retaining projection gets fitted into a retaining portion of the terminal, so that the terminal can be doubly retained.
