    • A photosensitive recording medium having a multiplicity of microcapsules formed on a substrate, and a developer material, each microcapsule having a photosensitive resin and a chromogenic material which reacts with the developer layer to form a colored image spot. The microcapsules comprise a plurality of microcapsule groups which are sensitive to radiations having different wavelength bands, or which are sensitive to different intensities of the radiation. An image recording system is provided with an illuminating device for generating radiations of different wavelengths falling within the wavelength bands of the microcapsule groups, or a radiation of variable intensity. The recording system has a selector for selecting at least one of the radiations of the different wavelengths, or one of the intensity levels of the radiation, in order to adjust the contrast of the images formed on the medium, with respect to non-image areas on the medium.

    • A control device for an internal combustion engine comprises an air flow meter arranged in the intake passage. The air flow meter includes a main passage and a bypass passage and detects a flow rate of air flowing through the bypass passage to detect a flow rate of air flowing through an intake passage. A current intake air flow rate is calculated based on a current throttle opening. When the rapid acceleration of the engine is in process, an air flow meter-detecting intake air flow rate, assuming that air flows through the intake passage at the current intake air flow rate, is estimated considering the pressure loss of the bypass passage of the air flow meter. When an operation other than the rapid acceleration is in process, it is estimated ignoring the pressure loss. The fuel injection amount is calculated from the estimated air flow meter-detecting intake air flow rate.

    • A spatial information detecting apparatus using an intensity-modulated light has a photoelectric converter for receiving a light provided from a space, into which a light intensity-modulated by a predetermined modulation signal is being irradiated, and generating amounts of electric charges corresponding to an intensity of received light; charge discarding portion having an electrode for removing dispensable charges from the electric charges generated by the photoelectric converter according to a voltage applied to the electrode; charge storage portion for storing signal charges from the electric charges generated by the photoelectric converter; control circuit for controlling the voltage applied to the electrode at a timing synchronized with a period of the modulation signal to change a ratio of the signal charges stored in the charge storage portion to the electric charges generated by the photoelectric converter; charge ejector for outputting the signal charges from the charge storage portion; and an analyzer for determining spatial information from an output of the charge ejector. According to this apparatus, since the dispensable charges are previously removed from the electric charges generated by the photoelectric converter by the charge discarding portion, it is possible to improve S/N ratio and accurately determine the spatial information.

    • An image recording system including a photosensitive medium having a layer of microcapsules formed on a substrate, each of the microcapsules having a photosensitive resin which is curable upon exposure to a radiation, and a colorless chromogenic material or color former which is capable of chemically reacting with a developer material, to form a visible image. The system further includes an exposing device for forming a latent image on the photosensitive medium according to image signals, by exposure of the medium to the radiation. The latent image is developed into a visible image. A communication device is provided for translating facsimile signals into corresponding picture signals. The facsimile signals are received from a remote facsimile transmitter through a communication channel and represent an image of a subject copy. Control means are connected to the communication device and the exposing device, for applying to the exposing device the picture signals received from the communication device as the image signals, to thereby form on the photosensitive medium the latent image represented by the picture signals.
