The polymeric composition provides improved heat seals when formed into film, film layer, or flexible containers such as a retort pouch.

摘要： Free radically crosslinked, electrically conductive compositions exhibiting a highly stable volume resistivity comprise an olefin multiblock copolymer (OBC) having a high, e.g., greater than 20 mole percent comonomer content, e.g., butylene or octene, and carbon black. These compositions exhibit a highly stable volume resistivity relative to a composition similar in essentially all aspects save that the high comonomer OBC is replaced with a low comonomer OBC of similar density and melt index.

The ethylene/α-olefin interpolymers are characterized by an average block index, ABI, which is greater than zero and up to about 1.0 and a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, greater than about 1.4. Preferably, the block index is from about 0.2 to about 1. In addition or alternatively, the block ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer is characterized by having at least one fraction obtained by Temperature Rising Elution Fractionation (‘TREF’), wherein the fraction has a block index greater than about 0.3 and up to about 1.0 and the ethylene/α-olefin interpolymer has a molecular weight distribution, Mw/Mn, greater than about 1.4.

摘要： The instant invention is an improved cure system composition and a method for curing chlorinated elastomer compositions. The cure system composition includes a polymercapto crosslinking agent, an inorganic base, and a quaternary ammonium salt. The quaternary ammonium salt has a formula selected from the group consisting of wherein R1 is an alkyl or aryl group containing between 4 and 12 carbon atoms; wherein R2 and R3 are independently alkyl or aryl groups containing between 1 and 8 carbon atoms; wherein the total number of carbon atoms on R2 and R3 are between 3 and 9; wherein R4 and R5 are methyl groups, and R6 is an alkyl group containing between 2 and 8 carbon atoms; and wherein X is an anion. The method for curing a chlorinated elastomer, composition according to instant invention includes the following steps: (1) providing a chlorinated elastomer composition; (2) providing a cure system composition as described above; (3) contacting said chlorinated elastomer composition with said cure system composition; and (4) thereby curing said chlorinated elastomer composition.

摘要： Olefinic interpolymer compositions comprising the olefinic interpolymer, residuals from a transition metal catalyst and boron containing activator package, and a charge dissipation modifier and methods for making them. The compositions have dissipation factors that are at least 50% less than the corresponding olefinic interpolymer compositions which have not been treated with charge dissipation modifiers. The compositions are useful in wire and cable applications.
