摘要： The present invention involves methods of preparing coated particulates and using such coated particulates in subterranean applications such as production enhancement and sand control. One embodiment of the present invention provides a method of preparing coated particulates comprising the steps of coating particulates with a resin or a tackifying agent to create pre-coated particulates; and, covering the pre-coated particulates with a partitioning agent to create coated particulates. Another embodiment of the present invention provides a method of treating a subterranean formation comprising the steps of providing coated particulates made by a method comprising the steps of substantially coating particulates with a resin or a tackifying agent to create pre-coated particulates; and, substantially covering the pre-coated particulates with a partitioning agent to create coated particulates; substantially slurrying the coated particulates in a servicing fluid to create a coated particulate slurry; and, placing the coated particulate slurry into the subterranean formation.

摘要： Improved methods of coating dry proppant particles with a hardenable resin composition, suspending the coated proppant particles in a fracturing fluid and consolidating the proppant particles after being placed in fractures into high strength permeable masses are provided. As the fractures are formed, a liquid hardenable resin component is mixed with a liquid hardening agent component to form a hardenable resin composition. The hardenable resin composition is coated onto dry proppant particles conveyed from a source thereof to form resin composition coated proppant particles, and the resin composition coated proppant particles are suspended in the fracturing fluid.

摘要： The present invention provides methods of stimulating fluid production while preventing the migration of sand with produced fluids from an unconsolidated subterranean formation penetrated by a well bore. The methods basically comprise the steps of creating one or more fractures in the formation, injecting a hardenable resin composition into a portion of the formation through which the fractures extend whereby the portion of the formation is consolidated into a hard permeable mass and depositing proppant in the fractures to maintain the fractures open.

摘要： A method using a propping fluid comprising a first carrier fluid and a plurality of propping agents and a spacer fluid comprising a second carrier fluid and an expandable filler material. The method introduces the propping fluid into a fracture in a subterranean formation and introduces the spacer fluid into the fracture. Then the expandable filler material is exposed to an expanding agent that causes the expandable filler material to expand and press against the adjacent propping agents.
