    • Embodiments of the present invention disclose a method, user equipment, base station, and system for detecting sharing of a timing advance value, relate to the field of communications technologies, and solve a problem in the prior art that a normal service cannot be provided because a TA value cannot be shared between different uplink CCs. According to the embodiments of the present invention, the user equipment may determine, through a time offset between synchronization of downlink component carriers corresponding to uplink component carriers, that a too large time offset indicates that a same TA value cannot be shared; the base station may calculate a TA value directly through a dedicated preamble sequence, and then compares the TA value with a TA value of one of the component carriers, where a too large difference between the TA values indicates that a same TA value cannot be shared.

    • A method and apparatus for compressing and decompressing a time stamp is provided, applied in a scenario of compressing a basic compression packet carrying an extended compression packet of type 3 in Robust Header Compression (ROHC). The compression method comprises: storing high bits of a time stamp to be transmitted in a time stamp field of the basic compression packet; storing bits of successive zeros beginning from the highest bit of the remaining bits of the time stamp to be transmitted after removing said high bits in the extended compression packet in a form of number information; and storing the remaining bits of the time stamp to be transmitted after removing said high bits and said bits of successive zeros in the time stamp field of the extended compression packet as low bits. Therefore the compression space can be effectively used and compression efficiency can be improved.

    • Disclosed is a communication modulator with sample rate conversion. The modulator comprises a symbol mapping module configured to map an input bitstream to a symbol sequence; a pre-distortion module configured to multiply the symbol sequence by a discrete frequency response to produce a pre-distorted symbol sequence; a modulation module configured to modulate the pre-distorted symbol sequence to a time-domain baseband sample sequence; a sample rate conversion module configured to convert the sample rate of the baseband sample sequence to a different sample rate to produce a sample-rate-converted baseband sample sequence; and an up-conversion module configured to up-convert the sample-rate-converted baseband sample sequence to an intermediate frequency signal. The discrete frequency response by which the pre-distortion module multiplies the symbol sequence is configured to compensate for passband droop introduced to the sample-rate-converted baseband sample sequence by the sample rate conversion module.

    • A polymer-based PLOT capillary column prepared by in situ copolymerization of a functional monomer, which usually contains the retentive chemistries, and a crosslinking monomer, which enhances the strength of the polymer matrix, is disclosed. Also disclosed is a system comprising the polymer-based PLOT column coupled to a mass flow or concentration sensitive detector, for carrying out a chemical analysis method on samples separated by liquid chromatography using the column, and a process for using the system. Columns of the invention can be prepared in a robust fashion with a very narrow i.d., e.g., 5-15 μm. Thus, they are suitable for commercial use in ultratrace LC/MS proteomic analysis. Columns according to the invention are characterized by high resolving power and high column-to-column reproducibility. When these columns are coupled on-line with, e.g., ESI-MS detection, the resulting systems are capable of detecting the component parts of complex proteomic samples down to the low attomole to sub-attomole level.
