    • An apparatus for dispensing a powdered composition into the aerodigestive tract comprises a dispensing apparatus for dispensing an amount of powdered material and an inhalation attachment apparatus connected to the dispensing apparatus. The amount dispensed by the dispensing apparatus may be a restricted amount. The inhalation attachment apparatus comprises a channel for receiving the dispensed powdered material from the dispensing apparatus, a plurality of apertures for mixing air with the powdered material, and an outlet aperture at an end of the channel for expelling the powdered material. Air is draw in through the outlet apertures upon inhalation by a user at the outlet aperture. The air mixes with the powdered material dispensed from the dispensing apparatus. The powdered material is dispersed and accelerated by the air, and expelled into and through the mouth of a user, and thereby deposited into the aerodigestive tract.

    • Combination quilted patterns of which at least one component pattern is continuous are sewn on a multi-layered web of material with the sewing heads on one bridge as the material is advanced longitudinally. The bridge might or might not also move longitudinally. Simultaneously, different patterns, either continuous or discontinuous, are sewn with another independently moveable bridge. The continuous patterns extend substantially the lengths of quilted panels on a web, and may extend without thread cuts or tacks along the web across the lengths of more than one panel. One pattern can be changed while the other pattern continues along the web. New patterns, intermediate quilted products and methods for quilting them are provided.

    • Data requested from a disk drive by a host is read continuously from sectors in tracks on a rotating disk and is temporarily stored in buffer memory within the disk drive. Before releasing the sectors for host access, each sector is checked for errors, and if errors are identified, error correction is attempted in a correction engine, using a selected error correction facility. If the errors are not corrected using the first selected correction facility, the bad sector is held in the buffer memory until the correction engine is idle. The correction engine is idle, for example, when good sectors (which have no errors) are read and are immediately released for host access. This idle time in the correction engine is used to attempt error correction using one or more different correction facilities. If the errors are corrected using the correction engine's idle time, it is not necessary to re-read the sector.

    • A portable carport having a frame, a flexible fabric cover, and mechanisms for attaching the frame to the outsides of the wheels of an automobile. Because the frame is secured to the outsides of the wheels rather than beneath the wheels, the frame can be easily attached to the automobile after the automobile is parked. The frame is adjustable for height, width, and length, and can be adapted to cover as much of the car as desired. The wheel attachment mechanisms are also adjustable to fit any size tire.
