摘要： A uniform image is obtained by matching the sliding friction force, the moving speed and the developing agent in a developing region of two developing rollers and an electric characteristic of a photosensitive body used for image development. Two developing rollers rotating in directions opposite to each other are used, the moving direction of the first developing roller being opposite to the moving direction of the photosensitive body, and a circumferential speed ratio of a circumferential speed of the first developing roller to a circumferential speed of the photosensitive body is within a rage of 0.5 to 2.5; and the moving direction of the second developing roller is equal to the moving direction of the photosensitive body, and a circumferential speed ratio of a circumferential speed of the second developing roller to a circumferential speed of the photosensitive body is within a range of 1.5 to 3.5. A ratio of the sliding friction force between a magnetic brush for developing agent and the photosensitive body formed in the first developing roller and the sliding friction force between a magnetic brush for developing agent and the photosensitive body formed in the second developing roller is within a range of 0.9 to 2.1.

摘要： An imaging apparatus such that residual toner on a transfer/conveyer mechanism such as a transfer belt and an intermediate transfer material is effectively removable. High-tension voltage opposite in magnetic polarity (plus) to the charged toner and a photosensitive drum is applied to a discharger 15 provided ahead of a drive member 12 for driving a transfer belt 6. The residual toner on the transfer belt 6 is removed by a brush 21, and the residual foreign substances come in contact with the photosensitive drum 1 and move onto the photosensitive drum 1 before a printing operation is started. The foreign substances are then removed by a photosensitive drum cleaner.

摘要： In an image forming method wherein a toner image formed on a photoreceptor by the sequence of a charging step, an imagewise exposure step and a development step is transferred and fixed on a recording sheet by a transfer and a fixing step, the improvement wherein the developer used in the development step comprises at least 30 wt % of a toner having a particle size of no more than 8 .mu.m and a magnetic carrier of low saturation magnetization, the toner being capable of carrying electric charges in a quantity greater than the value at which a maximum amount of the toner is deposited for development, the toner being electrified to have a charge quantity greater than a predetermined level by mixing the toner and the carrier under agitation before the effective development region is reached, a magnetic brush being formed after the toner electrification, the carrier and the toner being then given a localized movement and vibrational force in the effective development region, the toner being deposited on the latent electrostatic image under the action of an electrical or mechanical disturbance that promotes the supply and separation of the toner particles, whereby a toner image is formed on the photoreceptor, the toner image being then transferred onto the recording sheet by a transfer device holding a constant electric field and, following this transfer step, the residual toner on the photoreceptor being charged again and subsequently removed from the photoreceptor under the action of an electric field.

摘要： A facsimile apparatus having a transmitting unit for scanning an image of a text to produce an image information signal and converting the image information signal to a coded information signal in a band compressed transmission system for transmission through a transmission line, and a receiving unit for decoding the coded information signal transmitted through the transmission line to reproduce the image information on a recording medium, the facsimile apparatus includes a memory having a memory capacity of at least one page information of the text for storing the information signals representing the image of the text to be transmitted and received. The receiving unit includes clock generator for generating a timing clock for reading out the received information signal stored in the memory converting circuit for converting the information signal read out from the memory means into analog information signal, and scanning type recording medium for feeding the recording medium at a constant speed and recording the image on the recording medium in accordance with the analog information signal read from converting circuit. The memory is responsive to the timing clock from the clock generator to sequentially read out the information signal such that a scanning-start timing at each scanning line in the recording medium is repeated with a constant period.
