    • An image heating apparatus includes an endless belt for heating an image on a recording material at a nip; magnetic flux generating means, disposed opposed to an outer surface of the endless belt, for generating a magnetic flux to cause the belt to generate heat; a metal member disposed inside the belt and supporting a member which is disposed inside the belt; and a magnetic flux reducing member, disposed between the metal member and an opposing portion of the belt which is opposed to the magnetic flux generating means, for reducing a magnetic flux actable on the metal member.

    • Power tools are taught that may include, for example, means for detecting impact sounds generated, e.g. by a hammer strikes an anvil or by oil pulse from an oil unit. The detecting means may include a receiver (30) adapted to selectively convert sound within a narrow frequency range into electric signals. Preferably, the impact sounds fall within the narrow frequency range of the receiver (30). A processor 38 may be utilized to control the motor (22) in order to stop the rotation of the hammer when a pre-determined number of impact sounds has been detected by the detecting means. In addition or in the alternative, various means for setting various operating conditions are taught, including dials 34, sound sensors 30, keypads and remote control devices 250. Further, means for performing maintenance condition status checks are taught.

    • The present invention provides a method for producing a metal structure comprising a substrate and a metal film formed on the substrate; comprising the steps of providing surface having irregularities made of a electrical conductor in the area of the substrate where the metal body or film is to be formed; and preferentially forming the metal body or film by electroplating in the area provided with the conductive surface having irregularities. The plating bath may preferably contain an additive compound such as a cyanine dye which is capable of suppressing the plating reaction, and which loses such plating-suppressing effect with the progress of the plating reaction. The metal film can be produced by electroplating in the area provided with the surface having irregularities.
