    • A method for detecting the motion of an element relative to a sensor apparatus is proposed, in which a detection of the direction of motion is performed. As a function of the direction of motion, a measurement signal is increased or decreased at predetermined measurement intervals, and only if a predetermined threshold value is exceeded is a direction-of-motion signal generated. Preferably, by means of a counting logic circuit (6), a counter is increased by a binary amount In one direction (2) and the counter (6) is decreased by a binary amount in the respective other direction (3). Upon a detection of measurement signals which as a result of being increased or decreased in a measurement interval do not lead to exceeding of the predetermined amount of the threshold value, vibration of the element is assumed.

    • A sensor system includes: an at least partially magnetoelastic deformation element for measuring pressures, caused by a fluid, that are able to be applied to the magnetoelastic deformation element; and a magnetic circuit formed via a magnetic flux feedback and having a sensor unit and an evaluation unit. The sensor unit is positioned at the deformation element and the evaluation unit having an evaluation coil is structurally separated from, yet inductively coupled to, the sensor unit. The sensor unit has a sensor coil positioned on the deformation element and the evaluation unit has the evaluation coil that is inductively coupled to the sensor coil, the sensor coil forms a resonant circuit, using its own parasitic capacitance or using an additional capacitance, which is able to be energized by the evaluation coil in free resonance with strong or weak inductive coupling by a magnetic circuit enclosing the two coils.

    • An adjustable memory track assembly for a vehicle seat has a lower rail adapted to be secured relative to a vehicle frame, and an upper rail adapted to support the seat for fore/aft sliding movement relative to the lower rail. The adjustable memory track assembly also has a track lock assembly operable via a first actuator between a locked, engaged state wherein relative movement between the lower and upper rails is resisted, and an unlocked, disengaged state wherein the seat can be slid to and then locked in a user-selected position. A memory module is operable via a second actuator to record the user-selected position. The second actuator is also operatively connected to disengage the track lock assembly to allow forward movement of the seat from the user-selected location to a forward location, and thereafter allow rearward movement of the seat back to, but not past, the user-selected location. The adjustable memory track assembly is characterized in that the memory module is provided with a blocking element to prevent rearward movement of the seat past the user-selected position independent of the locking state of the track lock assembly.
