摘要： PURPOSE:To obtain the radio calling system able to receive a voice message from a conventional push-button telephone set. CONSTITUTION:A base station 14 in the radio calling system applies A/D conversion to a voice signal by an A/D converter 4, compresses data by a data compressor 5 and stores the compressed data to a memory 6, and a ciphering function 7 is added to the data for prevention of intercept and the result is sent. A receiver 3 stores the demodulated signal to the memory, reads the memory in response to a reproduction command, releases the ciphering and expands the data and processes the non-sound period of the voice signal to realize fast hearing or delay hearing reproduction. Thus, a recipient confirms the calling purpose of the caller on its occasion. Since the ciphering function is provided, a message requiring confidentiality is attained, the fast hearing or delay hearing is attained without deteriorating the voice quality. The portable performance is further improved in the case of a card type or a wrist watch type system.
