CONSTITUTION:The inside of acapacitor (C)10 for supplying a gate current of negative polarity of a GTO11 has internal resistances R1, R2 and equivalenet inductance L. Charging voltage of the C10 is selected below reverse voltage of the GTO11, the capacity of the C10 accumulates the quantity of charge required for turning off a maximum current of a current IA flowing between main electrodes of the GTO11, and a maximum value of its discharge current exceeds a value required for turning off the current IA, according to which a capacitor is selected. Therefore, the smaller the R1, R2 and the L of the C10 are, the larger a peak value of a gate current IGP of negative polarity becomes, also the C10 is heated low, its deterioration is prevented, and the GTO11 is turned off safely and exactly.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the number of revolutions of an electrically-driven cooling fan or stop the operation thereof while a battery fork lift is at a temporary rest and prevent said fan from producing noises, by controlling the voltage applied by an inverter which controls the drive of the electrically-driven cooling fan. CONSTITUTION:While the fork lift is traveling with a switch 14 on, a switch 7 is off, and also an PNP transistor 8 is off. Therefore, a voltage which is fed by a constant-voltage circuit 4 and dropped by a resistor 9 is applied to a terminal 13, and the output frequency or voltage from an inverter 5 to an electrically-driven cooling fan 6 rises by a portion corresponding to said voltage drop, so that the fan 6 rotates at high speed. On the other hand, while the lift is at rest, the switch 7 is on, and also the PNP transistor 8 is on. Therefore, the voltage applied to the terminal 13 is entirely what is fed from the constant-voltage circuit 4. Accordingly, the output frequency or voltage from the inverter 5 to the fan 6 drops by a voltage portion higher than the voltage applied through the resistor 9, so that the fan 6 is reduced in speed or stopped.

    • PURPOSE:To conduct detection with the same sensitivity and without any magnetic interference even from each magnetized track bearing magnetic signals different in record length from others, by providing magnetic signal elements bearing magnetic record units being continuous in required numbers in the direction of movement of a moving body and non-magnetic-field elements bearing no magnetic record units. CONSTITUTION:A rotary drum 5 fitted to a rotary body 1 through the intermediary of a rotary shaft 2 has magnetized tracks M0a-M3a which are prepared by recording magnetic signals in different record length on a magnetic recording medium on the surface of the drum, and a magnetic sensor 4a having magnetoresistance elements R01- R32 disposed thereon is provided opposite to the drum. Each track is provided with magnetic signal elements bearing magnetic poles of minimum magnetic record units which have polarities of N or S and are continuous in required numbers in the direction of movement of the drum indicated by an arrow, and with non-magnetic-field elements bearing no magnetic record units, and by this construction, magnetic detection signals are obtained. According to this constitution, magnetic signals can be detected with the same sensitivity and without any magnetic interference from each magnetized track even when it bears the signals different in record length from others.
