摘要： The transport roller for moving the toner image to the thermal fixing process is made of metal (3) and is coated with a conducting PFA layer which is charged with the same polarity (VB1) as the toner image in contact with the roller. The conducting layer is at least 200 microns thick and has a volume conductivity of about 10 0 ohm cm. A 30 micron thick film between the metal roller and the PFA layer has a dielectric constant of at least 80 and a volume conductivity of 10 7 to 10 1 ohm cm. The transport roller has a diameter of about 40 mm and can be made of aluminium. The PFA layer has a carbon content.

摘要： The technique uses a single surface potential sensor (12) between the first and second developer units, and a detector to capture the dark damping characteristic of the photosensitive body. The photosensitive body is illuminated with a test image of specific luminosity to form an image on the body. The surface potential sensor is used to monitor the test image. The control voltage is varied to a position at which the surface potential sensor is set, on the basis of the characteristic modification device output. The measured potential is compared with the control voltage, when modified by a step change to control the voltage or illumination of the test image so as to use the measured potential as a control voltage. A further test image is formed, and the second developer unit is calibrated in the same way.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high speed image recorder for continuous form printing for a toner image and an ink image on a sheet by one pass in which shift or skew of printing position incident to high speed sheet carriage is eliminated and scattering of ink is prevented at the time of fixing of toner by means of a heat roll fixing unit. SOLUTION: Image data being printed by electrophotography and start of writing position data of a document image out of document image data generated by an information processor 1 is stored in a signal storage device 2, and image data being printed by ink jet is stored in a signal storage device 3. A toner imaging means forms a toner image 23 indicative of a start of writing position and a toner image 24 onto a sheet. A toner mark sensor 16 detects the toner image 23 and delivers a detection signal to a head control circuit 17, thus determining the operational timing of the drive circuits 15a, 15b and 15c of the ink jet head.
