The method provides for computing a channel transfer function between the transmitting user device at each of the plurality of receiving antennas, by computing a simulated received pilot signal for each receiving antenna, computing an error signal between the simulated received pilot signal and the received pilot symbol sequence, computing a channel modeling sequence, wherein the power of the error signal is minimized, and computing the channel transfer function by weighting predetermined basis functions by the channel modeling sequence.

摘要： In one embodiment, a method includes launching an application on a first device. The application allows the first device to trigger a service based on a program being played on a second device. The first device captures a visual code being displayed in association with the program being played on the second device. The visual code includes encoded information for program ID information associated with the program being played on the second device and timing information associated with the program being played on the second device. The method determines the program ID information and the timing information from the encoded information included in the visual code and then triggers the service for the application using the timing information and the program ID information.

The primary control channel information includes an indication that a first OFDMA resource region (e.g., 320 or 330) is assigned to at least one user device of the plurality of user devices. The transmitting device correspondingly transmits secondary control channel information to the at least one user device using the first OFDMA resource region.

摘要： A method and apparatus for performing resource allocation with lower required overhead is provided herein. Resource allocations for data transmissions are chosen in such a way as to provide channel quality information for various parts of the channel bandwidth (frequency selective channel quality information), such as allocating two different resource blocks (on different sets of subcarriers) to a mobile unit for two different transmissions. These data transmissions are used to estimate frequency selective channel quality information, thereby eliminating or greatly reducing the need for channel sounding with a broadband pilot. As a result, the overhead on the uplink of the communication system may be significantly reduced.

摘要： A method and system that enables the usage of sounding-based feedback or analog feedback in a MIMO communication system with non-beamformed or broadcast pilot symbols is disclosed. The mobile station may employ a feedback channel to send a sounding waveform to a base station, a feedforward channel to receive from the base station codebook weights derived from the send sounding waveform, a receiver to receive communication from the base station, and a processor to detect beamformed data from the received communication and received codebook weights from the base station. The base station processes the sounding waveform to determine codebook weights on groups of subcarriers. Additionally, the base station transmits the beamformed payload and broadcast pilots to the mobile station.
