    • An arm restraint system for an aircraft ejection seat comprises triangular nets, each secured at one of its corners to a respective upper point on the side of the seat back and at another of its corners to a respective lower point on the side of the seat back. The remaining corner of each net is secured to one end of a respective retraction line which passes through a respective reversing arrangement at the front of the respective side wall of the seat, along a respective conduit extending along the side of the seat, to gas-powered line-retraction device mounted in the seat back. In the normal position, each line, from its point of attachment to the net, extends through an eye provided on a respective projectile carried by the seat. When an ejection sequence is initiated, the projectiles are thrown transversely outwardly from the seat back and the lines retracted to pull the outwardly thrown ends of the nets forwardly to pass on the outside of the airman's arms and restrain the airman's arms from moving outwardly during ejection of the seat from an aircraft.

    • A two component article of manufacture useful for removing paper adhered to a surface with a starch-based adhesive comprising a sealed moisture-proof first package containing an enzyme composition comprising either a carbohydrase or a carbohydrase and a protease and a second package containing a liquid comprising (a) an activator for the enzyme composition, (b) a wetting agent and (c) a solvent for reducing the rate of evaporation of water from paper. Paper is removed from the surface by mixing the contents of the two packages with hot water, applying the aqueous composition to the paper and removing the paper after the enzyme composition has degraded the adhesive properties of the adhesive.

    • A device for attaching various earth-working tools to a bucket of excavating equipment, such as a front-end loader, backhoe, or excavator. A frame has two spaced parallel plates, each having a wedge-shaped notch on one side. A stabilizing bar, adjacent to the open end of the notches, connects the plates. The tool, such as an asphalt roller or cutter, is attached to the bottom of the frame between the plates. At the top of the frame, a clamping mechanism, having a pivoting arm, is mounted between the plates. To use the device, the excavator bucket is inserted into the wedge-shaped notch, with the device holding the bucket in place against the edges of the wedge-shaped notch, the stabilizing bar, and the pivoting arm of the clamping mechanism.

    • A knock-down starting platform for a roof seaming machine includes spaced side frame rails joined at one end with a platform on which a roof seaming machine may be supported and joined at their other end with a movable gate or bridge. The bridge carries a member which is adapted to be secured relative to a roof panel to support the rails and platform on a roof with the platform supported beyond the edge of the roof and the rails disposed in straddling relationship to the seam between adjacent panels. The side frame rails and bridge comprise a plurality of releasably connected together parts separable from one another to enable the starting platform to be disassembled for storage, shipment and handling.
