摘要： This invention relates to an image forming apparatus including a developing unit which develops an electrostatic latent image formed on an image carrier by using a two-component developing agent containing polymerized toner. The developing unit includes a supply/convey member which conveys the two-component developing agent in the axial direction while agitating it and a toner density sensor which detects the toner density of the two-component developing agent. The toner density sensor is placed to be in a non-contact state with respect to the supply/convey member and oppose it with a gap of 0.8 mm or less. The diameter of the supply/convey member is set to 23 mm or more.

摘要： A photocatalyst comprising inorganic porous particles having photosemiconductor particles deposited on at least a part of the surfaces and at least a part of the walls of the pores of the particles, and a photocatalyst comprising inorganic porous particles having photosemiconductor particles and microorganisms possessing water purification activity deposited on at least a part of the surfaces and at least a part of the walls of the pores of the particles are disclosed. The photocatalysts have a stable photocatalytic function for an extended period of time and easy separability from the treated water system so that it is useful for various photocatalytic reactions. Particularly they can be effectively used in water purification, and allow annihilation of harmful organisms such as algae, fungi and bacteria, decomposition of deleterious materials, as well as deodorization and decoloration to be conveniently and easily accomplished.

The semiconductor package includes a semiconductor element, a metal member, and a molding member for encapsulating the semiconductor element and the metal member. The metal member has a metal portion thermally connected to the semiconductor element, an insulating layer on the metal portion, and a conducting layer on the insulating layer. The conducting layer is at least partially exposed outside the molding member and serves as a radiation surface for radiating heat of the semiconductor element. The cooler has a coolant passage through which a coolant circulates to cool the conducting layer. The conducting layer and the cooler are electrically connected together.

摘要： An optical pickup apparatus according to the present invention includes: a first light source for emitting a first light flux; a second light source for emitting a second light flux; a third light source for emitting-a third light flux; and an objective optical element. The objective optical element has an optical surface including at least two areas provided with optical path difference providing structures. The objective optical element converges the first to third light fluxes each passing through the predetermined areas on the objective optical element onto respective information recording surfaces of the first to third optical disks. The optical pickup apparatus provides a wavelength dependency of a spherical aberration so as to correct a change in a spherical aberration due to a refractive index change with a temperature change of the objective optical element.
