    • PURPOSE:To provide the subject applicator so designed that a spray nozzle is automatically put to vertical motion during traveling to expand liquid application range and, even if the nozzle, when lifted, comes to contact with obstacles above it, it senses them automatically and dodges them automatically, thus proceeding with application. CONSTITUTION:In an applicator where a truck 1 capable of both advancing and retreating motions is equipped with a liquid application body 5 fitted with a spray nozzle 3 in a vertically movable manner through a lift 2. This applicator is also equipped with (A) a sensor 6 to detect obstacles when the application body 5 comes to contact with them and (B) a traveling control unit 7 to temporarily retreat and then advance the track 1 again based on the detection signals. Besides, another control unit 8 to control the vertical motion of the application body 5 based on the above signals is also installed on the applicator.

    • PURPOSE:To reduce the distance between a rail and the periphery of a house by mounting an arm on the roof of a liq. sprinkling cart, stretching a cord over the traveling passage of a truck and providing an abutment to the cord. CONSTITUTION:When the truck 2 loaded with a liq. sprinkling cart is advanced on the traveling passage B, the tip of the arm 4 provided on the roof 3 of a liq. sprinkling cart 1 is abutted on the abutment 6 from the left. Consequently, the arm 4 is bent in the opposite direction to the traveling direction of the cart 1, a switch 7 connected to the arm 4 is actuated, and the cart 1 is unloaded from the truck 2 and travels on a passage A. The cart 1 is turned back at the terminal of the passage A and loaded on the retreated truck 2, and the arm 4 is returned to the original position by the restitutive force and positioned at the right of the abutment 6. The truck 2 is advanced in the Z direction under these conditions, and the liq. is sprinkled over the plants on a ridge C. The sprinkler system is completely automated in this way.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a plant put in a container by subjecting a plant to insertion of herbaceous cutting or cuttage in a blocked artificial medium having water retainability, growing the plant by hydroponics and housing the plant together with the artificial medium in which the plant is rooted into a container made of paper, a resin, etc. SOLUTION: A container has a housing opening 4 capable of holding a plant 2 with an artificial medium and a housing space. The container is provided with a separable part 6 so as to form an open cover 7 which can be folded from the separable part 6 outward at a higher position than the separable part 6. The open cover 7 is provided with a holder 8 for retaining the open cover in a folded state outside. The separable parts 6 are formed at two upper parts of the container. The two open covers 7 which can be mutually folded back and opened are formed. The container is vertically long container and is made of paper.
