摘要： A first air bag comprises an upper cloth and a lower cloth, the peripheries of the both cloths being connected, characterized in that the upper cloth consists of an airtight sheet obtained by weaving a composite fiber composed of a filament core and a thermoplastic polymer bonded thereto which has a melting point lower than that of said filament core, and then fusing said thermoplastic polymer so that the surface of said upper cloth has a continuous thermoplastic polymer layer. A second air bag consists of a membranous material having a breaking extension of 100% or more. A third air bag comprises an elastomer body and a shape-retaining member partially attached to the elastomer body, said member being composed of elastic fibers or threads and high-modulus fibers.

摘要： A backside covering member (1) for a solar battery is made by integrally laminating an outer film (3) and a moistureproof film (2) with EVA adhesives (4). The moistureproof film (2) is constituted of a base film and a coating layer of an inorganic oxide deposited on a surface of said base film. A backside covering and sealing film is made by integrally laminating the aforementioned backside covering member (1) and an EVA film (6) together. A solar battery (10) is made by sealing solar cells (7) between a front side transparent protective member (8) and the aforementioned backside covering member (1) as a back side protective member. The present invention provides a backside covering member for solar battery and a backside covering and sealing film which are light and thin, are excellent in moistureproof property and durability, further have good insulation performance, and do not cause leakage of current and a durable, high-performance solar battery using the aforementioned backside covering member as a back side protective member.

摘要： An air bag assembly has a base plate (108) and a rupturable pad cover (107) housing the air bag (114). The edge of the pad cover (107) is secured around the edge of the base plate (108) by bending in caulking portions (106) of the base plate periphery to trap edge projections of the pad cover. To assemble the air bag components, the base plate (108) is positioned on a support table (104) of an assembling apparatus having an upper press portion (101). The workpiece constituted by the air bag assembly components is surrounded by a cam slide apparatus (102) having press blocks (103) which, by means of sliding cam faces (103A, 105A) convert the downward force of the press portion (101) to an inward force on caulking blocks (105) surrounding the workpiece. The caulking blocks (105) act to bend the caulking portions (106) of the base plate into the securing position to hold the airbag assembly together.

摘要： Two circular airbag parts, one having an inflator aperture, are joined at their periphery by welding. Each of the parts comprises a urethane, ester or amide elastomer layer 2a, 3a laminated over the whole of a polycarbonate, polyester polyimide or polyamide shape holding layer 2b, 3b which prevents excessive stretching of the elastomer layer. Each part may comprise two or three layers: e.g. two elastomer, one shape holding. To increase the peel strength of the welded joint, thermoplastic resin weld layers 8, 9 or a 'Y' shaped layer (12 Fig. 3a) are placed in the joint to dissipate peel forces. A peel member (11 Fig. 2b) is fitted between weld members during welding and is later removed. The weld layers are formed by cutting lateral slits in a tape shaped body and then forming an annulus (Figs. 5a, b).

The two sheets 2, 3 may be made from a urethane resin film laminated over their entire surface with a urethane resin. The reinforcing layer 12A, 12B may be made from a urethane resin film laminated on both sides with a thermoplastic resin film. The reinforcing layer may be ring shaped with a notched inner edge (figures 2a, 2b), alternatively it may be formed by joining the ends of a tape with sits formed on one edge to make a ring shape (figures 4a, 4b).
