    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a dry process electric dust collector from being an excessive design at a normal rated operational time and also to prevent concentration of soot and dust at the outlet of the dust collector from being over a regulated value at the overshoot time. SOLUTION: A gas flow passage 4 consisting of plural numbers of chambers arranged in parallel is provided in the dry process electric dust collector 2, and the gas flow passage 4 is provided in excessive one chamber for hammering a dust collection electrode plate, besides the gas flow passage group provided with a space corresponding to the rated gas flow rate at the normal operation time. At the hammering time of the dust collection electrode in the rated gas flow rate time at a periodical normal operation time of respective chambers, a gas flow in the gas flow passage 4 of the excessive one chamber is shut down and exhaust gas of the rated flow rate is subjected to a dust collection treatment without any trouble by utilizing other whole chambers, and in the case that the gas flow rate is over the rated gas flow rate in the overshoot time in a load increasing process of a combustion device, the exhaust gas is introduced to the whole chambers of the gas flow passage 4 including the excessive one chamber to collect the dust, and during this time the periodical hammering of the dust collection electrode in the whole chamber is not performed.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flue desulfurization equipment keeping the slurry concentration in an absorbing solution tank and also keeping the absorbing solution level in the absorbing solution tank within the given range when the operation of extracting intermittently an absorbing solution from the absorbing solution tank and also provide an operation method thereof. SOLUTION: An absorbing solution from an absorbing solution tank 1a containing a lime stone slurry storing the absorbing solution is brought into contact with boiler gas introduced into an absorption column 1 to remove sulfur oxide in gas, and the absorbing solution absorbing the sulfur oxide in exhaust gas is returned to the absorbing solution tank 1a. At that time, the specific gravity of the absorbing solution in the absorbing solution tank 1a is sensed by a specific gravity hydrometer 16, and the feed amount of reinforcing water from a reinforcing water feed line 10 into the absorbing solution is adjusted, and also the absorbing solution extraction amount out of an absorbing solution extraction line 9 of the absorbing solution tank 1a is adjusted based on the sensed value of a liquid level indicator 17 for the absorbing solution in the absorbing solution tank 1a.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To hold the liquid pressure in spray piping so as not to exert effect on the spraying of the absorbing solution of an upwardly turned spray nozzle during the operation of a desulfurizer and to wholly extract the absorbing soln. in the spray piping at a time of the stop of the spraying of the absorbing soln. SOLUTION: In the operation of a desulfurizer supplying an absorbing soln. to spray piping 3a equipped with a spray nozzle 4 upwardly spraying the absorbing soln. in order to subject the same to the gas-liquid contact with the exhaust gas within an absorbing tower, a drain branch pipe 14 preventing a large amt. of the absorbing soln. from flowing. out to a place (A-part) becoming largest in bending and draining the absorbing soln. from the spray piping 3a at a time of the stop of the desulfurizer so as not to leave the absorbing soln. in the spray piping 3a at a time of the stop of operation of the desulfurizer as well as to exert no effect on the spray nozzle 4 upwardly spraying the absorbing soln. during the operation of the desulfurizer is provided to the underside of the piping 3a and a resistance element 5 (spray nozzle, automatic valve or orifice) is provided to the leading end of the branch pipe 14.
