    • A control system is disclosed having at least one spray head, a fluid pump, and a power converter driving the fluid pump. The control system may also have an interface device to receive at least one parameter associated with a desired fluid delivery event, a pressure sensor configured to generate a first signal, a travel speed sensor configured to generate a second signal, and a controller. The controller may be configured to determine a desired fluid pressure based on the at least one parameter, and determine a control command for the power converter based on the desired fluid pressure. The controller may be further configured to determine a feedforward gain parameter based on the at least one parameter and the second signal, determine a feedback gain parameter based on a difference between desired and actual fluid pressures, and adjust the control command based on the feedforward and feedback gain parameters.

    • Star carrier roller assemblies have been used in certain tracked mobile machines, such as those used in the timber industry, that must operate in cold weather and/or over rough terrain. Due to interaction of the star carrier roller assembly with a track chain assembly, undesirable wear on the star carrier roller assembly occurs. The present invention includes at least one star carrier roller assembly for a tracked mobile machine that limits the wear on the star carrier roller assembly. The star carrier roller assembly includes a carrier roller positioned adjacent to a sprocket having a plurality of teeth. Each tooth includes a tooth width and a tooth angle. A ratio between the tooth width and a difference of a pitch length and a bushing diameter of a track chain assembly is less than 0.3, and the tooth angle is greater than or equal to zero degrees (0°). The present invention further limits the wear of the star carrier roller assembly by maintaining a wear surface on the carrier roller less than three hundred degrees Fahrenheit (300° F.) while attaching the sprocket to the carrier roller.

    • A track bushing for use with a track assembly of a track-type machine includes a generally cylindrical member having ends adapted for mounting in opposing end portions of a track link and a longitudinal bore extending between the ends. The inner surface of the bore defines first and second load bearing portions at each of the ends. Each of the first load bearing portions define a first conical surface tapering radially inward from each of the ends at a first angle, and each of the second load bearing portions define a second conical surface tapering radially inward from each of the first conical surfaces at a second angle. In the bushing's assembled state, the first angle is in the range of 0.09 degrees to 0.18 degrees and the second angle is in the range of -0.01 degrees to 0.01. In the bushing's free state, the first angle is in the range of 0.19 degrees to 0.27 degrees and the second angle is in the range of 0.06 degrees to 0.08 degrees.

    • An endless track chain with a rotatable bushing is disclosed that utilizes sleeve bearings for rotatably mounting the inboard end collars of the links about the pin. The joint of the track chain is sealed and lubricated. Sealing rings for the joint incorporates the use of a second set of seals for sealing between the rotatable bushing and the inboard end collars of the link. A unique design for the links enables the chain to accommodate the second set of seals without any loss of structural integrity in the chain or any disadvantageous increase in rail gauge width ('G") of the chain. The track chain also utilizes a punch for mechanically interlocking the outboard end collars of the links to the end portions of the pin to eliminate joint end play.
