    • A carbon nanotube large area emitter is provided to improve stability and life by increasing coherence with electrode and to improve a field emission factor by increasing a conductivity of the carbon nanotube. A carbon nanotube large area emitter contains a polymer(3) layer evaporated on a substrate of a conductive metal; and a plurality of carbon nanotubes(4) combined in the polymer layer and formed into a vertical direction. The conductive metal is selected from a group consisting of platinum, gold, aluminium, chrome, tungsten and copper. The polymer is selected from a group consisting of polyethylene glycol, polyvinyl alcohol, poly-vinyl methyl ether, polyvinlpyrrolidon, polyethyleneimine. The carbon nanotube is a multi-walled carbon nanotube. The carbon nanotube has 1~20 mum of length and 10~40 nm of diameter.
