CONSTITUTION: A wrist strap(110) protects the wrist(1) of a subject. A pressure device(120A) pressurizes the radial artery of the wrist. A sensing part detects the pulse wave of a radial artery(7) inside a wrist skin surface when the wrist skin surface of the subject is pressed. A blood pressure measuring part measure the blood pressure of the subject based on the pressure of the pulse wave and the radial artery that is measured from the sensing part. The pressure device, the sensing part, and the blood pressure measuring part are installed in a blood pressure measurement block(105). The wrist strap is connected to the blood pressure measurement block.

The drive block comprises a motor with a rotary shaft, a cam for changing the rotational motion of the same rotary shaft into a reciprocating motion, a cylinder with a piston, an injection path which transfers the compressed air into the bellows type airbag, and a backflow preventing valve for preventing the backflow of the air.
