    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that in a conventional vacuum cleaner, a deodorizing filter having a photocatalyst layer is set in a ventilation route through which the mainstream of a suction wind flows in a dust collection chamber, dust remaining uncollected adheres to and accumulated in the deodorizing filter, light is prevented from reaching a photocatalyst layer, pores in the photocatalyst are blocked, odor is neither adsorbed nor dissolved, and consequently deodorizing performance cannot be sufficiently achieved.SOLUTION: The vacuum cleaner has a suction port, a dust collection portion including a dust accumulation portion for holding dust sucked from the suction port, a deodorizing member, an electric blower for sucking air from the air suction portion and a body holding them. The deodorizing member is arranged on the downstream side of the dust accumulation portion of the dust collection chamber and on the upstream side of the electric blower in a shape which allows ventilation to take place at least in the suction direction, and at least part of the side facing the air suction portion faces an inwall forming the body or the dust collection portion.
