A method for preparing a herb composition for mitigating hangover comprises the steps of: (a) mixing 100 parts by weight of a herb mixture consisting of 40-80 parts by weight of an (A) ingredient including Pueraria radix, Pueraria flos, Phaseolus radiatus, Phaseolus angularis, Fraxinus chinensis, Atractylodes japonica and Rhynchosia volubilis, 20-50 parts by weight of a (B) ingredient including fruit of Chinese quince, Poria cocos wolf and ginger, and 10-40 parts by weight of a (C) ingredient including Atractylodes japonica, ginseng, Glycyrrhiza uralensis and dried ginger; (b) heating the mixture for 3-5 hours to obtain a herb medicine extract; (c) filtering the herb medicine extract and concentrating a filtrate to have 42-45 brix; (d) sterilizing the herb medicine concentrate at a temperature of 90-98 deg.C; (e) mixing 100 parts by weight of a liquid phase mixture where the sterilized herb medicine concentrate, oligosaccharide and sorbitol are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:0.5-0.7:0.5-0.7, 5-20 parts by weight of a powdery mixture where lecithin, xylitol and taurine are mixed in a weight ratio of 1:0.1-0.3:0.1-0.3, and 1-5 parts by weight of pectin at a temperature of 80-95 deg.C; and (f) packing a herb medicine composition obtained from the step(e). The composition further comprises a step of settling the herb medicine composition at a temperature of 90-98 deg.C for less than 4 hours after the step(e) and before the step(f). Further, the oligosaccharide is isomalto oligosaccharide, galacto oligosaccharide and soybean oligosaccharide.
