    • A tile setting assembly is made up of a panel which spans at least two pillars of a building and has a plurality of spaced parallel projections on one surface, and a plurality of holding members which are secured to the panel while abutting against the projections. Each holding member has opposed and spaced engaging portions for holding tiles. The holding members are made up of first holding members which are secured to the panel projections for holding a first set of elongated straight tiles which are secured to the major part of the panel with the exception of the opposite ends of the panel, and second holding members which are secured to the panel at the opposite ends of the panel for holding a second set of L-shaped tiles at the corners of a tiled wall which is to be built. A tiled wall is made up of the above-described components of the tile setting assembly with mortar filled in at the joint spaces between the adjacent tiles. The components of the above-described tile setting assembly being used in a new method of building tiled walls.

    • An optical information reproducing apparatus of the invention includes a light emitting and receiving unit and an optical system. The optical system converges light from the light emitting and receiving unit on a recording medium and converges the light after reflected by the recording medium. The light emitting and receiving unit includes: a semiconductor laser device disposed on a substrate for generating light; a photo detector formed, integrally with the substrate, on the substrate on which the semiconductor laser device is disposed, for outputting a signal corresponding to the intensity of light incident thereon; and a beam splitter provided on an optical axis of the reflected light, the beam splitter leading part of the reflected light to the photo detector.

    • An optical information recording and reproducing device is provided. The device includes a light source for emitting a light beam, a first diffraction element for splitting the light beam into at least three diffracted beams, an optical system guiding the diffracted beams to a recording medium, and a second diffraction element including at least one division line and a diffraction surface from which the diffracted beams are diffracted. The diffraction surface is divided into at least two regions by the division line or lines. One of the division lines is at a predetermined angle against the direction of a track on the recording medium, and the regions split each of the diffracted beams into at least two parts to diffract the parts in different directions. The device also includes an optical detecting element for detecting the light beams diffracted with the second diffraction element.

    • Proposed is a box container suitable for holding and transporting a plural number of sheet-like bodies such as lead frames for semiconductor devices such as ICs. The box container consists of three parts including (a) an inner box member to hold the sheet bodies, (b) a box tray member into which the inner box member is inserted and (c) a covering member to be engaged with the box tray member. The inner box member is an integral plastic body consisting of a generally rectangular base plate and side plates each connected, independently from the others, at the bottom line to one of the four sides of the base plate while each of the side plates is jointed to the base plate not perpendicularly but with outward inclination from the bottom to the upper periphery in such a resiliently bendable fashion that, when the inner box member is inserted into the box tray member, each side plate is contacted with the side wall of the box tray member with resilience to take a perpendicular disposition to ensure little play between the side plates and the sheet bodies therein while good working efficiency is ensured in putting and taking sheet bodies into and out of the inner box member.
