[Class 39(ii)] An electric battery lamp containing two or more cells 27, 29 is provided with a multipole selector switch whereby individual cells may be isolated or all connected in series by the operation of an external button 16 which can be moved within a peripheral slot in the metal casing 3. Focusing is effected by movement of an insulating button 31a connected by an insulating rod 31 to a bulb socket 11a located within an outer socket 11 in a removable head 2 carrying the lens and reflector. The upper cell 27 is mounted within a metal cup 12 which is riveted to the casing and provided with a central aperture adjacent to the positive pole of the lower cell 29, with the selector switch interposed between the two cells. A wiping- contact 15 of the switch is pivoted on a central rivet secured to an insulating disc 13 within the cup 12 and arranged to bridge any adjacent pair from four arcuate contacts 18-21, Fig. 5, mounted adjacent to the periphery of the disc 13. An extension or tongue projecting from contact 19 is bent around and under the disc 13 'to make resilient contact with the positive pole of cell 29, whilst contact 18 is connected to a long metal strip 23 extending upwardly to make frictional engagement with a metal strip which is mounted on the insulating disc 6 within the removable head 2 and connected to the outer bulb socket 11. The centre contact of the bulb is connected by a flexible lead 10 to a metal strip which engages a similar strip 34 extending laterally from a pressbutton switch 33 associated with a slide 30 to maintain it in the " on " position. The head 2 of the torch is retained on the casing by two resiliently mounted pressbuttons which extend outwardly through aligned apertures in head and casing respectively.

[Class 39 (ii)] An electric torch or battery lamp is provided with an extensible casing to enable the battery capacity to be increased or decreased by the insertion or removal of cells which form part of the circuit. A variable resistance is also provided to regulate the voltage applied to the lamp bulb. The example shows a telescopic metal casing comprising an upper portion 4 with screw-threads 44 around its lower end, and a lower portion 45 which is screwthreaded at the top 46 and near the bottom at 47, so that either of the spaced sets of screw threads in the lower portion can be engaged with the threads 44 of the upper portion. As shown, the casing is in its contracted position, with the threads 44, 47 in engagement. A bottom cap 48 screwed on the lower end of the casing carries a housing 50 containing a resilient contact 49 which holds the cells in position. The resistance regulator comprises a contact arm 37 mounted upon a centrally pivoted disc 32 of insulating material provided with an operating button 40 projecting through a transverse slot in the casing, the end of the contact arm 37 being adapted to bear upon a resistance wire 31 wound upon an arcuate former. Connection between the contact arm 37 and the battery is provided by a screw 36 with its head in contact with the centre pole of a cell 42 and its shank bored to receive a screw 39 which holds the contact arm 37 and disc 32 in position. A metal strip 33 connected to one end of the resistance 31 is connected by a flexible wire 20 to the centre contact 21 of the bulb socket 18, the other end of the resistance being connected to a metal strip which is connected to the metal shell of the bulb socket and also to the casing 4 through a switch 43.     • Various embodiments of methods and systems for simultaneously testing multiple cores included in an integrated circuit are disclosed. In one embodiment, an integrated circuit may include two or more logic cores. The IC may also include structural scan test hardware coupled to the cores. This structural scan test hardware may be capable of inputting scan test vector data into scan registers associated with each of the logic cores, simultaneously executing a scan test on the logic cores included in the IC, and outputting the results of the scan tests for multiple cores to automated test equipment (ATE) simultaneously. In one embodiment, elements of the results of testing for multiple cores may be interleaved on a single output line such that an element of test result data from each core is present on an input channel to the ATE during each strobe window.
