The usual gauze wrapper with attaching tabs is folded over the composite strip. Deodorants or other modifying agents may be incorporated.

Approach of trains, alarm apparatus for warning platelayers and the iike of.-A device for giving warning of the approach of a train, of the kind having a rocking contact-closing member operated by the wheel of the vehicle, comprises a rectangular rocker frame 9 mounted on a shaft 8, one side of which is normally held in raised position by a spring 14. The frame has a member 16 with inclined ends, this member being adjacent to the line rail 1 and depressed by the wheel of a passing vehicle. The other side of the frame, which is thus raised by the vehicle, contacts with a fixed insulated contact-spring 11, completing a circuit through a lamp, bell, &c. between the spring 11 to which one lead is secured and a terminal 12 on the frame to which the other lead is secured. The device is mounted on an insulating plate 6 carried by a metal plate 4 adapted to be secured to the sleepers, and carrying half-chair distance-pieces 5 placed in contact with the inside of the rail. A cover encloses the working parts.

The pads may be formed by winding the flannel on rollers, or bristles may be attached to the flannels. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 6193/86.

摘要： The basic features of the invention include a pipe parting mole, a length of cable that is engagable to the mole, a cable pulling device and a cable pulling device engagement means that provides a mounting structure for the cable pulling device. The cable pulling device engagement means generally includes a reaction plate and a structure for removably engaging the cable pulling device therewithin. A cable pulling frame may be advantageously used to facilitate the removal of the cable from a relatively small hole that is created at the pulling end of the pipe.
