摘要： A fluid regulation system is provided comprising a source of a fluid, a tube in communication with the source for delivering the fluid from the source to a site, and a valve for controlling the rate of fluid flow from the source to the site. A remote control unit for controlling the valve allows the user to adjust the rate of fluid flow from the source through the tube to the site. Typically, the system excludes any means for automatically adjusting the rate of luid flow from the source through the tube to the site. The invention is particualrly useful when the valve is out of the user's reach. Also provided is a system and method for delivery of a breathable gas to an individual. Typically, such a system excludes any means for automatically adjusting the rate of gas flow from th source through the tube to the individual according to the level of physical activity of the individual.

The band is preformed with a substantially closed loop of band material to capture a seal to provide a preassembled band and seal wherein the seal is generally inhibited from being dislodged during packing, shipment, handling and installation. According to one embodiment, a method of forming a rosette includes folding a rosette strip along a plurality of pre-scored grooves to form an accordion shape. According to another embodiment, a securing ring may be utilized in connection with a rosette strip having a plurality of pre-scored grooves. The securing ring may be configured to encompass the outside perimeter of the rosette strip as one end is encircled and secured to the other end. The securing ring may prevent the rosette strip from expanding in at least one direction.
