摘要： PURPOSE: To accommodate electrical and communication receptacles on both the front and back faces of a power panel without increasing the thickness of a standard panel by further dividing a front space and back space into internal spaces by a rib member. CONSTITUTION: A frame structure 17 is constructed by connecting a pair of vertically extended end plates 41 and 41 to each other with a web 43. Then a front cover 50 and a back cover are supported by the frame structure 17 so as to form a front space and back space between the covers and web 43. Moreover, the front space and/or back space are divided into physically partitioned internal spaces by providing a vertical rib 62 which is extended from the web 43 to at least either one of the front cover 50 and back cover in the frame structure 17. Then an electrical receptacle 14 is housed in one internal space and a communication receptacle 16 is housed in the other internal space. Therefore, safety can be secured by physically isolating electrical wiring and communication wiring from each other and, in addition, the interference of electromagnetic radiation can be eliminated.

摘要： PURPOSE: To impart strength and rigidity to walls to enhance the capability of absorbing acoustics by placing a reinforcing material thick enough to make contact with inside and outside walls between the inside and outside walls inside a cavity. CONSTITUTION: A cabinet 2 has two sides 4, a rear 6, a bottom piece 8, and a top piece 10. An almost rectangular reinforcing material 16 is inserted into an almost rectangular cavity formed between an inside wall 12 and an outside wall 14 before the inside and outside walls are installed. The thickness of the reinforcing material 16 is selected so that it makes contact with both of the walls 12, 14. The reinforcing material 16 is preferably made of paper or cardboard and should preferably have a pattern of hexagonal holes of equal sides and equal angles to form a honeycomb structure and be arranged at the center in order to reinforce the walls 4 evenly. Also, the reinforcing material 16 is arranged in symmetry with respect to two symmetrical surfaces extending in the longitudinal direction of and along the width of the side wall 4, the inside wall 12, or the outside wall 14 and pointed in mutually perpendicular directions. The reinforcing piece 16 improves the strength of the side walls 4 to such an extent that no frame is needed.

摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a device to adjust the position of a seat back relative to a chair seat. CONSTITUTION: A seat back 24 has a slender stem 30 having a downward bending part 32. Preferably, a spring 58 energizes the stem in the upward direction by operationally engaging with the stem. A housing 28 slidably receives and guides a curved part of the stem. A latch mechanism fixes the back to a desired position by engaging with the stem, and an actuator member moves the latch mechanism between an engaging position and a removing position. In operation, the latch mechanism is removed, and a seat back system is moved to a curvilinear path up to a desired height and a corresponding angle position, and is engaged again, and the seat back system is fixed to the position.

SOLUTION: The height of this work surface in use is decided by relatively positioning a block 84 to a rack 70 and a wedge 90 to an end part of the rack 70. In more details, a screw 87 passes into a hole of a frame, through a slot of a leg 16 and a slot of the rack 70. A screw end part of the screw 87 is received in a screw hole of the block 84. In this state, the screw 87 is rotated in the first direction to be drawn near so that the block 84 engages with the rack 70. In this state, a user pushes the screw 87 in the direction of the frame and the leg 16 to thereby separate the block 84 from the rack 70. Thus, the block 84 is positioned again in the other position of the rack 70 to adjust a height of the work surface.

The plastic deck 12 has slots (or grooves) 24 for receiving sidewalls 26 and back walls 28 (side and back supports) perpendicular to the frame 6, and is provided with an outer opening 30 and an inner opening 32 at each corner. Steel inner corner rods 40 are fitted into the inner opening 32 in the deck 12 so that the supports 26, 28 can be supported in upright conditions.
