摘要： A method and apparatus are provided for frequency synchronization in an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) system, wherein the method includes the steps of transmitting OFDM symbols in such a manner that a data symbol size of a particular OFDM symbol in each frame is set to be smaller than a data symbol size of a typical OFDM symbol within the frame, receiving the OFDM symbols and calculating respectively, correlation coefficients of the particular OFDM symbol based on both a time interval of corresponding data symbols and a time interval of data symbols of the typical OFDM symbol, taking respectively phases of corresponding correlation coefficient calculated from the particular OFDM symbol and estimating a decimal part of a frequency offset, and determining an integer part of the frequency offset corresponding to the decimal part of the frequency offset, thereby estimating an entire frequency offset and acquiring the frequency synchronization.

摘要： A method and apparatus for sharing a DL-DPCH in an NB-TDD system. Two time slots at the same position in two subframes forming one radio frame are allocated as a DPCH for two UEs. A Node B arranges data and control information for the UEs in the two time slots and transmits the data and control information to the UEs. The UEs extract the data and control information from the two time slots and acquire the data and control information destined for the individual UEs.

摘要： An apparatus and method for multiplexing packets for broadcast services in a mobile communication system based on orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM). The OFDM system has a transmission structure in which one slot includes at least two symbols, and each symbol includes a plurality of subcarriers. Different broadcast service packets received from at least two channels are multiplexed into one slot and a result of the multiplexing is transmitted. Overhead information of the channel packets multiplexed into the one slot is generated and transmitted.

摘要： An apparatus and method for providing multimedia broadcast and multicast services in a CDMA (Code Division Multiple Access) mobile communication system. The apparatus and method enable a common MBMC (Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Control) layer to be allocated between a plurality of cells, enable MBMC layers to be classified on the basis of types of services, and use the classified MBMC layers. That is, individual MBMC layers do not have to store large-capacity data because a unique service or transmission rate in each of cells is based on a slow rate, and the individual MBMC layers corresponding to respective cells process a service requiring complex scheduling. Moreover, the apparatus and method enable the same information to be provided to a plurality of cells and enable a streaming-type service to be processed in a common MBMC layer commonly used in the cells. The apparatus and method can not only reduce an overhead of storage and processing devices but also minimize a time difference between broadcast and multicast timings of different cells, by enabling the common MBMC layer to commonly process MBMS information for the plurality of cells.
