摘要： 1456870 Comminuting apparatus; mixing IRL DAFFIN ASSOCIATES INC 5 June 1974 [5 Oct 1973] 24935/74 Headings B1C and B2A A mixing and milling apparatus 10 Fig. 2 comprises a conveyor FT, a preshredder 18 to shred coarse feedstuff e.g. hay, a mill HM (a hammer mill) which may include a screen to reduce the shredded feedstuff, a first conduit FC with an auger 20, Fig. 4 leading the feedstuff to a mixing tank MT having a mixer therein, a hood FH over the discharge end of the conveyor with an inlet and an outlet opening, the shredder being within the hood, a second conduit connecting the outlet of the hood with the inlet of the hammer mill and means to prevent unwanted egress of dust from the hood and simultaneously remove fines from the first conduit and create a negative pressure between the inlet and outlet of the mill and deliver the fines to the mixing tank. The apparatus is powered by an engine E and mounted on a vehicle. Feed is removed from the tank at 24. The negative pressure is produced by a fan 32 Fig. 3. The fines are extracted from the conduit FC by variable venturi action caused by adjustable thick and thin tubes 50, 44, Fig. 4 and are conveyed along a pipe 38 to a cyclone 40, Fig. 3 and thence to the tank MT.

摘要： Mobile mixing appts. for fluent materials comprises a mixing tank located at the rear of a self-propelled vehicle and a feed conveyor extending from the tank to the front of the vehicle. Material to be mixed is supplied to the conveyor input at the front of the vehicle and conveyed along the vehicle to the mixing tank. The mixing tank has at least two parallel horizontal auger conveyors in the bottom of the tank with their flights disposed in opposite directions and a vertical auger conveyor with spiral flights which increase in dia. from bottom to top.

The trough has a pivot in the inlet end wall 20 about which the trough is raised through an acute angle by a cable and winch.
