摘要： An improved combination key and transponder assembly is provided wherein the head (11) of the key includes an elongate slot that passes through the head. A carrier (15) is moulded into the slot disposed in the key head. The carrier has a hollow interior (19) bound by a plurality of tabs (21) for frictionally retaining a transponder (22) in the carrier. After the transponder is inserted into the carrier (19), the key head, carrier and transponder are inserted into a mould and an outer sheath is moulded around the head, carrier and transponder. The resulting assembly has a slim profile and may be mounted on a standard sized key chain or key holder. The assembly may be manufactured using an automated process without manual sub-assembly steps.

The locking device (14) includes a bolt assembly (20) which may be configured to provide a spring-loaded bolt or, alternatively, a deadbolt. The locking device (14) further comprises a re-locking mechanism (202 and 202') adapted to prevent retraction of the bolt (20) upon displacement of the cover (108) of the lock casing (106).

摘要： A clutch system for use in the door locking arrangement has a drive member (55), a latch actuating member (57) and a permutation lock reset member (49), the latch actuating member (57) and the permutation reset member (49) being disposed on either side of the drive member (55). The drive member (55) is operatively connected to the actuating means, for example a door knob or a lever handle (1), so that the drive member (55) drives the latch actuating member (57), to retract the latch member of the door locking arrangement, when a correct combination has been inserted into the permutation lock of the door locking arrangement. When an incorrect combination has been inserted, the drive member (55) drives the permutation lock reset member (49) to reset the permutation lock. A linkage operatively connects both the latch operating member (57) and the permutation lock reset member (49) to the control shaft (37) of the permutation lock. The linkage serves to operatively connect the control shaft (37) to the actuating means either through the drive member (55) and the latch actuating member (57) when the correct combination has been inserted, or through the drive means (55) and permutation lock resetting member (49) when an incorrect combination has been inserted. The linkage is symmetrically disposed so that only minor modifications are required to adapt the arrangement from an actuating means which rotates in a counter-clockwise direction to an actuating means which rotates in a clockwise direction.
