    • A voltage generator that prevents latch-up includes: a charge pump circuit that is controlled by first through third enable signals, boosts an internal power voltage generated from an external power voltage, and generates first through fourth voltages; a detector that detects the first through third voltages and generates first through third flag signals that go logic high when the first through third voltages reach predetermined respective voltage levels and maintain logic low when the voltages do not reach the predetermined respective voltage levels; and a charge pump controller that receives the first through third flag signals, and generates the first through third enable signals to have the first through fourth voltages sequentially generated. The voltage generator can prevent latch-up that may occur in a boosting mode or in a normal operation mode.

    • A charge pump circuit and related method are provided. The charge pump circuit includes first, second and third voltage generation units, first and second control units, and a latch-up prevention unit. The first generation unit regulates a first output signal, the second generation unit boosts a second output signal, and the third generation unit boosts a third output signal in response to the first and second output signals. The first control unit is connected between the first generation unit and the third generation unit, and the second control unit is connected between the second generation unit and the third generation unit. The first and second control units block respective outputs of the first and second generation units during the boosting time for the second output signal. The latch-up prevention unit prevents a latch-up operation caused by a parasitic transistor until the third output signal is maintained at a third voltage.

    • A liquid crystal display module includes a liquid crystal panel, a first frame, a second frame, a first printed circuit board, and a second printed circuit board. The liquid crystal panel has an upper substrate, a lower substrate, and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the upper and lower substrates. The first printed circuit board is electrically connected with the liquid crystal panel. The second printed circuit board is electrically connected with the first printed circuit board such that the second printed circuit board is removable from the first printed circuit board and is used for driving the liquid crystal panel. The first printed circuit board and the second printed circuit board are formed on the first frame, wherein the second printed circuit board is removable from the first frame.     • Provided are an apparatus for and method of forming an image according to a brightness distribution of image data. The method includes detecting a brightness distribution of an image data unit that represents image data of a page unit; determining whether the image of the image data unit is formed or not according to the detected brightness distribution; stopping the image formation for the image data unit if the image formation is not formed; and executing the image formation for the image data unit if the image formation is determined. Therefore, toner waste generated when an image of excessively low brightness is printed due to a user's mistake or a incorrect operation of the image forming apparatus can be prevented.

    • Disclosed is an alphabetic character input device which includes a key input section composed of a first key group having input keys mapped with first half patterns of certain alphabetic characters which are divided into a pair of half patterns and a second key group having input keys mapped with second half patterns of said certain alphabetic characters, the other undivided alphabetic characters being mapped on the input keys of either the first key group or the second key group; a memory for storing a table that maps the input keys of the first and second key groups with the first and second half patterns of said certain alphabetic characters and said other alphabetic characters; and a control section that recognizes a key mapped with the alphabetic character is pressed and combines a first half pattern with a second half pattern when keys mapped with first second half patterns are pressed in sequence, thereby recognizing the combined patterns as a single alphabetic character. An alphabetic character can be inputted by one or two keystrokes. Certain alphabetic character are each divided into a pair of half patterns, i.e., a first half pattern and a second half pattern, which are intuitively associated with a complete alphabetic character. Thus, the character input device enables the user to easily and rapidly input alphabetic characters with fewer keystrokes.
