    • In a clutch disk assembly 1, first and second flange plates 3 and 4 are disposed between first and second sub-plates 5 and 6. First and second retaining plates 7 and 8 are disposed at opposite sides of a group of the first and second retaining plates 7 and 8 and the flange plates 5 and 6, and are fixed together. First coil springs 9 are disposed axially between the first and second retaining plates 7 and 8. Within a first displacement range of relative rotation between plates 3 and 4 and the plates 7 and 8, both the coil springs 9 and 10 are compressed. Within a second displacement range larger than the first displacement range, the plates 3 and 4 are brought into contact with the second coil springs 10, so that only the second coil springs 10 undergo further compression.

    • A first flywheel and a second flywheel in a flywheel assembly are configured to be connected to each other such that they rotate together with generally no relative rotation therebetween in a predetermined low RPM region. The flywheel assembly (1) includes the first flywheel (2), the second flywheel (3), a damper mechanism (5) and a lever mechanism (7). The second flywheel (3) is disposed rotatably relative to the first flywheel (2). The damper mechanism (5) elastically connects the first flywheel (2) and the second flywheel (3) to allow for limited relative rotary displacement therebetween. The lever mechanism (7) is mounted on the first flywheel (2) and pivots about a pivot bolt connected to the first flywheel (2). The lever mechanism (7) pivots between an engaged state and a disengaged state. In the engaged state, the lever mechanism (7) connects the first flywheel (2) and the second flywheel (3) such that the two flywheels may not undergo relative rotary displacement with respect to each other. The lever mechanism (7) moves to the disengaged state in response to rotation of the flywheel mechanism at a rotational speed greater than a predetermined RPM.

    • The clutch cover assembly comprises a clutch cover, a pressure place, a fulcrum ring, a diaphragm spring, and a diaphragm spring posture maintenance mechanism. The maintenance mechanism includes an adjustment mechanism which is composed with a pair of wedge mechanisms inclined surfaces of which extend in the circumferential direction and keep in contact with each other, and a spring for urging one of the wedge mechanisms against the other in the circumferential direction so as to move either one of the wedge mechanisms in the axial direction. Since adjustment mechanism functions by the circumferential wedge mechanisms, it is possible to accurately maintain the diaphragm spring posture without being affected by the engine rotation speed.

    • A control circuit is provided including a trigger circuit having a capacitor connected between a pulse generator and a second switching element, and a latch circuit connected via a diode, between a junction of a load with a first switching element and the control terminal of the second switching element, wherein when the pulse generator outputs a drive signal, both of the first switching element and the second switching element are turned on and the second switching element is held in the ON state through the latch circuit by a voltage at the junction. When the drive signal is stopped, both of the first switching element and the second switching element are turned off; meanwhile if the load is short-circuited, the first switching element and the second switching element are turned off through the latch circuit by the voltage at the junction.
