    • An apparatus and method for simultaneously injection molding a first component and a second component, the second component having a protrusion that is positioned in a hole in the first component, including the steps of mating together molds having cavities that define the first component and the second component, positioning a gated core pin in one of the molds, the gated core pin having an outer configuration to define the hole in the first component and having a blind hole to define the protrusion in the second component, injecting a material into the cavities to form the first component and the second component and withdrawing the gated core pin from the mold, whereupon the protrusion on the second component is positioned in the hole in the first component allowing movement of the first component relative to the second component.

    • A valve (100a) that has at least one internal port (130a) on a valve core (102a) and at least one an internal slot (154a) in a valve body (108a). The valve core (102a) is biased into a position wherein the port of the valve core is aligned with a sealing surface (126a) of the valve body thereby prohibiting fluid flow through the valve. The valve core (102a) is slidable such that the port of the valve core becomes aligned with the internal slot (154a) of the valve body thereby allowing fluid flow through the valve. Another valve includes a self-aligning valve seat carrier (200c) which is pivotably engaged with a valve core member. The self-aligning valve seat carrier engages a sealing surface in a valve body to prohibit fluid flow through the valve, but the valve core is slidable such that the self-aligning valve seat carrier disengages from the sealing surface in order to allow fluid flow through the valve.
