摘要： The invention relates to a spark plug of an internal com-bustion engine, especially for use in Otto gas engines. The invention is characterized in that the ground electrode(s) (4) has/have a support (6) secured to the spark plug shell (2) or arranged thereon as the base, or branch(es) off therefrom, and in that said ground electrode support (6) and every finger-type ground electrode (4) branching off therefrom is arranged at a distance (21) from the inner wall sur-face (7) of the chamber (5a, 5b).

Erfindungsgemäß ist vorgesehen, dass der Masseelektrodenträger (6), senkrecht zur Längsachse (A) der Zündkerze (2) gesehen, von der Mittelelektrode (3) einen größeren Abstand besitzt als die Außenfläche (7) der Wandung (8) der Kammer (5) und zumindest eine fingerförmige Masseelektrode (4) trägt, die sich durch eine Ausnehmung (50) in der Wandung (8) hindurch in die Kammer (5) erstreckt, wobei die Zündfläche (26) der Masseelektrode (4) auf dem Höhenniveau der Zündfläche (12) der Mittelelektrode (3) in der Kammer (5) liegt.
