摘要： PURPOSE: To evaluate fluctuation in the characteristics of a received echo profile quickly without modifying a fixed threshold profile by supplying an evaluation circuit with a slide threshold profile while combining with the fixed threshold profile. CONSTITUTION: A transmission pulse generator 14 being triggered at the start of each measuring cycle by a clock generator 13 generates an electric pulse signal having a frequency for exciting an ultrasonic converter 12 during a transmission phase. That signal is delivered to the ultrasonic converter 12 through a transmission/receiving switching circuit 15. An ultrasonic signal arriving after stoppage of transmission pulse from the ultrasonic converter 12 is fed to a signal processing circuit 20 through the switching circuit 15. A fixed threshold profile F stored in a fixed threshold profile circuit 28 is coupled, through a coupling circuit 29, with a slide threshold profile G stored in a slide threshold profile circuit 28 and fed to an evaluation circuit 25 where only an effective echo is identified and evaluated.

摘要： PURPOSE: To avoid deterioration in the surface characteristics of an object and the moisture dependency of a sensor by coating the object made of ceramic, glass or a single crystal insulating material with a thin film of spin-on-glass solution having a specific equivalent of silicon dioxide and then drying the thin film. CONSTITUTION: The capacitive pressure sensor 10 has a diaphragm 11 made of an aluminum-ceramic of 96wt.% purity, glass or a single crystal material. Capacitor electrodes 14, 15 are fixed to the opposite surfaces of the diaphragm 11 and a substrate 12 and facing each other through an interval in a chamber 13. When the diaphragm 11 is deformed, the interval of electrodes and thereby the capacitance of the pressure sensor is varied. The variation is connected with connection conductors 16, 17 and measured by an electronic circuit. The diaphragm 11 and the substrate 12 are coated, on the entire surface thereo,. with a thin film of spin-on-glass solution having at most 10% equivalent of silicon dioxide and then the thin film is dried. According to the method, deterioration in the surface characteristics of an object made of ceramic, glass or a single crystal insulating material and the moisture dependency of a sensor can be avoided.

摘要： PURPOSE: To improve the conversion accuracy of a device for converting the binary signal into the proportional DC signal by assigning the component corresponding to an actual quantization residue to each pulse-width modulated pulse period. CONSTITUTION: A periodical pulse train I1 which is pulse-width modulated with the quantized value corresponding to the limited resolution of the quantity of an input while ignoring quantization residues is supplied from a digital pulse width modulator 24 having limited resolution. On the other hand, another periodic pulse train I2 which is pulse-width modulated with the sum of the quantized value corresponding to the limited resolution and the product of the quantized value and a preset coefficient is supplied from a pulse width modulator 40. Then the pulse trains I1 and I2 are alternately connected to an averaging circuit 34 by switching so that ratio of the number of the connecting pulses of the pulse train I2 to the total number of connecting pulses becomes equal to the inverse of the preset coefficient. Therefore, high conversion accuracy is obtained.
